Get Highlands Gobbler mount

Highlands Gobbler is a ground mount available for purchase at the Trading Post for Trader's Tender. It is a young highland turkey with bright plumage and a distinctive fan-shaped tail that stands out among other mounts thanks to its elegant appearance.

• Available without a random drop — obtained with a guaranteed currency
• Counts toward your overall mount collection total
• Available to all characters on the account once purchased

• A character level 10 or higher
• Apprentice riding skill
• 750 Trader's Tender — the Trading Post currency
• The mount must be in the current Trading Post rotation (the goods refresh on the 1st of each month)

The Trading Post is a monthly cosmetic-item shop that runs on an in-game currency: Trader's Tender. It sells mounts, pets, transmog sets, toys, and other collectible items. The selection refreshes every month.

The main advantage of the Trading Post is that every item is bought with a currency you earn simply by playing. No randomness, no real money.

The Trading Post is found in three major cities:

Stormwind (Alliance)

The T&W Trading Post is located next to the Mage Quarter.

Orgrimmar (Horde)

The Zen'shiri Trading Post is located next to Grommash Hold.

Dornogal (neutral)

The Trading Post is located beneath the flight master.

The maximum you can earn per month is 1000 Trader's Tender. Unused Tender carries over to the following months.

Collector's Cache — 500 Tender

Each month a Collector's Cache appears near the Trading Post. Open it and you will automatically receive 500 Tender on your account. This is a free reward available to all subscribers.

Traveler's Log — up to 500 Tender

Open the Traveler's Log (the Shift+J key) and complete the monthly activities. Each activity grants from 50 to 200 Tender. The activities include:

• Running dungeons and raids
• Taking part in battlegrounds
• Completing quests
• Taking part in holiday events
• Running Mythic+ dungeons

You don't need to complete every activity — pick the ones you enjoy until you reach the amount you need.

Bonus Tender

On your first visit to the Trading Post you will receive an extra 500 Tender for the introductory quest. Purchasing the War Within expansion also grants bonus Tender.

1. Wait for the month when the mount appears in the Trading Post rotation
2. Make sure you have 750 Trader's Tender
3. Visit the Trading Post in Stormwind, Orgrimmar, or Dornogal
4. Find the mount in the list of goods and purchase it
5. Use the item you receive — the mount will appear in your collection

If the Highlands Gobbler has appeared in the rotation but you don't yet have enough Tender, use the freeze feature. You can "freeze" one item per month, and it will remain available for purchase even after the rotation changes.

To freeze an item, drag it onto the special freeze slot in the Trading Post interface. The frozen item will wait for you as long as you need.

• Save up Tender in advance. If you know the fowl mount will appear in the rotation soon, start saving Tender one or two months ahead. With the maximum monthly earnings of 1000 Tender, a single month is enough.
• Use the freeze wisely. You only have one freeze slot. If you've frozen another item, you'll have to choose — replace it or wait until the Highlands Gobbler returns to the rotation.
• Keep an eye on the rotation. Trading Post goods refresh on the 1st of each month.
• Items come back. If you missed the mount one month, don't worry. Trading Post mounts periodically return to the rotation.
• Tender is account-bound. All Tender is shared across all your characters. You can earn it on different characters and spend it on any of them.
