Honorbound Decapitator is an uncommon-quality two-handed axe added to the game in the Battle for Azeroth expansion alongside the Warfront system. It is a heavy double-bladed weapon in the distinctive style of Honorbound gear: dark metal, red accents, and a rough "military" finish recognizable from the look of the Horde faction during the war for Azeroth.

The item belongs to the two-handed weapon slot and is available only to Horde races. Its stats have long been obsolete, but it is precisely the appearance that makes it a coveted target for collectors: the axe is part of the visual set of Horde Warfront weapons and stands out clearly in any outfit.

This is a faction-exclusive appearance, and obtaining it is no easy task. The low item level here is merely a technical value: at the max level of 90 in the Midnight expansion, the content that drops the axe poses no danger at all.

Honorbound Decapitator is obtained in the Arathi Highlands during the Warfront phase, when the zone is controlled by the Horde.

The Warfront works on a cycle: control of the zone alternates between the Alliance and the Horde. It makes sense to hunt for rare enemies in the Arathi Highlands precisely during the weeks when the zone is held by the Horde — during this period the required rare mobs spawn and access to the gear caches opens.
