Get Hydrocane

Hydrocane is a two-handed staff that hails from the classic era of World of Warcraft. It has a smooth wooden shaft and a gem-crystal headpiece kept in a cool blue-green "watery" palette, which perfectly reflects the item's theme.

Beyond its appearance, the staff has a handy feature: when equipped it grants the Water Breathing effect — while the Hydrocane is in hand, your character does not suffocate underwater. This makes the item not just a pretty appearance but also a convenient "utility" for long swims and underwater expeditions.

The staff's stats have long since become obsolete and hold no interest — players hunt for it for its look and the water breathing effect. The silhouette is clean and uncluttered, with no fancy details, so the staff fits easily into a wide variety of outfits.

The Hydrocane drops in the Gnomeregan dungeon — a classic instance deep within Mount Dun Morogh, the radiation-stricken capital of the gnomes.

• The boss is located in the radioactive part of the dungeon — it is one of the first major opponents along the route, so you reach it quickly.

Gnomeregan is located in Dun Morogh, and the easiest way to get there is straight to the dungeon entrance or through the dungeon finder tool at an appropriate level. At the current max level the dungeon is cleared solo with no trouble.
