Get Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle mount

Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle is a secret mount from the The War Within expansion. It is a demonic motorcycle wreathed in green fel fire, and one of the hardest mounts to obtain in the history of World of Warcraft. To earn it, you must complete a massive chain of puzzles known as Ratts' Revenge — solving nine riddles scattered across all of Azeroth.

The mount remains obtainable even after the WoW 20th Anniversary event has ended. The whole process takes roughly 18–24 hours of in-game time.

• Unique model — a demonic felcycle with a distinctive green glow that has no equivalent in the game
• The Ratts' Revenge achievement — a special feat of strength confirming you have completed the secret
• Prestige — it is one of the few secret mounts whose puzzle required the efforts of thousands of players and remains partially unsolved (9 of 12 braziers activated)

How to earn the "Detective" title

The achievement Azeroth's Greatest Detective requires you to complete 2 of 4 achievements:

1. "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats" — the "Guest Relations" storyline
2. "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager" — the hidden "Guest Relations" stories
3. "Crate Savior" — find 6 festive crates
4. "No Crate Left Behind" — find all festive crates

The achievement rewards the "Detective" title, which you must wear throughout the entire chain.

Step 1: Gathering clues in Azj-Kahet

Head to Dornogal and speak with the Dalaran Survivor at the coordinates:

Then follow the clues into Azj-Kahet:

1. Cave in Azj-Kahet (69.3, 93.3) — Unfinished Note
2. Ledge in the City of Threads (31.4, 20.7) — Hastily Scribbled Note
3. Hidden lake on the border of Azj-Kahet and the Sacred Flame (50.7, 86.7) — Waterproof Note
4. Cave of the Vohrr Pillar-Nest (55.2, 19.2) — a jumping puzzle at the end of which you meet Ratts and receive the Peculiar Gem

Step 2: Assembling the Peculiar Key

Head to Un'Goro Crater and find the Inert Peculiar Key inside Linken's chest:

Combine the Inert Peculiar Key with the Peculiar Gem to create the Peculiar Key.

Step 3: Entering the Karazhan Catacombs

Head to Deadwind Pass and the entrance to Karazhan:

Use the Torch of Pyrreth while carrying the Peculiar Key, and a portal to the Ratts' Revenge scenario will open.

Inside you will see the felcycle surrounded by 12 brazier-pillars. Each brazier lights up after you solve a specific puzzle.

Below is a brief description of each of the nine solved puzzles. The mount is awarded after you solve the ninth.

Puzzle 1 — Love (1 hour)

Activate the Torch of Pyrreth and visit three locations connected to Mankrik and Olgra to gain 3 stacks of the "Light of Their Love" buff:

• Humble Memorial, Northern Barrens (55.0, 40.2)
• Decurion Olgra, Maldraxxus (27.0, 61.2)
• Olgra, Nagrand (Draenor) (74.2, 37.5)

Return to the catacombs and interact with the first pillar.

Puzzle 2 — Prayer (2 hours)

1. You need the Perky Pug pet wearing the "Doom-Saron" costume (bought from Vashj for 25,000 gold) or the "Bark-Saron" costume
2. Gain the "Gift of N'Zoth" buff via a Twitching Eye or All-Seeing Eyes
3. Head to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms (BfA phase) to the obelisk of Ny'alotha (83.7, 27.6)
4. Use the /pray command at the obelisk
5. After a short while you receive the Key of Shadows

Requirement: the Battle for Azeroth storyline completed up to the N'Zoth Visions content.

Puzzle 3 — Hate (3 hours)

1. Use the Key of Shadows on the door in the catacombs
2. Fish in the Astral Soup until you obtain the Astral Key
3. Open the Astral Chest — you receive the Astral Glasses
4. Put on the glasses to reveal 9 decryption consoles
5. Enter the codes on each console and collect 9 Shards of Hate:

For the last console you must carry 5+ luck items: Lucky Charm, Lucky Rat Tooth, Lucky Shirt (Lenny "Fingers" McCoy in Stormwind), Lucky Dragon Claw, Lucky Tortollan Charm (Grifta in Dornogal), Lucky Horseshoe (Blacksmith Rosha, Ringing Deeps).

Puzzle 4 — Doom (1 hour)

1. Buy the Fel Binding Scroll from Vashj — a wandering merchant in Azsuna (patrols between coordinates 66.0, 22.2 and 65.8, 48.2)
2. Use the scroll at Uther's Tomb in the Western Plaguelands (52.0, 83.0)
3. A Doomguard will be summoned; interact with the Hidden Graffiti that appears

Puzzle 5 — Golden Muffin (2 hours)

A pet battle on the Timeless Isle:

1. Prepare three rare-quality level 25 pets (recommended: Baa'l, Snowy Panda Cub, Tappy)
2. Find Zarhym in the Cave of Lost Souls (45.0, 36.2)
3. Defeat Jeremy Feasel in a pet battle
4. Receive the Golden Muffin

Puzzle 6 — Altars of Greed (3 hours)

Head to Zul'Gurub, Northern Stranglethorn (altar coordinates: 77–78, 43–46). Activate the Torch of Pyrreth and bring themed items to each of the five altars:

After activating all the altars, take the Ancient Shaman's Blood from the Chest of Greed.

Puzzle 7 — Owl of the Watchers (3 hours)

1. Buy the Watchers' Owlet pet from the vendor Marin Bladewing (Watchers' envoy, Azsuna)
2. Summon the pet and activate the owl statues on the Isle of the Watchers — each must glow a specific color (red, green, blue, purple)
3. Clear the Vault of the Wardens dungeon on any difficulty
4. On Cordana Felsong's platform, take the Light of Elune from the Glowing Sentinel
5. Solve the mirror puzzle in Glazer's room — use the online solver
6. Receive the Warden's Mirror from the Wardens' Vault

Puzzle 8 — Cipher Machine (3 hours)

Find the machine in the catacombs (60.0, 43.0):

1. Insert the Ancient Shaman's Blood and the Warden's Mirror
2. Kill ALL the rats in the dungeon (use a WeakAura to count them)
3. Rearrange the statues onto the marked tiles, following a formula based on the number of rats killed
4. Repeat the process for three locks

Puzzle 9 — Encrypted Chest (1 hour)

The final puzzle, after which you receive the mount:

1. Return to the Azj-Kahet cave — the Vohrr Pillar-Nest (55.2, 19.2)
2. Put on the Astral Glasses to see a hidden astral platform near the ceiling
3. Use the Relic of Crystal Bindings on the Humming Crystal to teleport to the platform
4. Interact with the console and enter the code: 84847078
5. Press "Confirm"
6. Open the Encrypted Chest and receive the Keys to Incognitro, the Indecipherable Felcycle!

The code 84847078 spells out TTFN — "ta-ta for now."

• Addons can interfere: when working with the consoles in the catacombs, temporarily disable interface addons — they sometimes cover the code-entry panel
• Druids: leave your forms before interacting with the consoles — otherwise the action panel may not appear
• Hunters and warlocks: dismiss your pets before interacting with the decryption consoles
• If you get stuck in the spirit world (puzzle 5): use the Ghostly Brazier in Ratts' lair (69.5, 87.4) to reset
• Puzzle order: the puzzles can be solved in any order, but some grant items needed for others (for example, the Astral Glasses from the third puzzle are needed for the ninth)
• Group content: other players can help with the world parts of the puzzles (altars, spheres), but each player opens the final chest individually
• Unsolved puzzles: as of March 2026, 9 of 12 braziers are solved; the remaining three are crowned with Void spheres and await the community's solution
