Get Innovation Investigator mount

Innovation Investigator is an epic ground and flying mount shaped like a goblin rocket, added in patch 11.1 of the The War Within expansion. The mount is purchased from the vendor Skedgit Cinderbangs in the "Venture Co." company building (The Heaps district, Undermine zone) for 25 Miscellaneous Mechanica. Before buying it, you must complete the heist quest chain offered by that same Skedgit Cinderbangs.

• Guaranteed acquisition — the mount is bought from a vendor at a fixed price. There is no drop-chance percentage: save up the required amount of currency and the mount is yours
• Flying and ground — the Innovation Investigator works both on the ground and in the air. Its speed depends on your riding skill: from +60% on the ground up to +310% in flight
• Unique style — goblin rockets always stand out among other mounts. The compact silhouette, jet thrust and distinctive goblin design draw attention
• Account-wide — once purchased, the mount appears in the collection of all your characters
• Binds when used — until activated, the item can be traded to another character or sold on the auction house

To purchase the Innovation Investigator, you must meet two requirements: complete Skedgit Cinderbangs' quest chain and accumulate 25 Miscellaneous Mechanica.

Step 1. Complete the Quest Chain

A chain of eight quests unlocks access to Skedgit Cinderbangs' trade interface. All the quests start and end at a single NPC.

After completing the quest "The Getaway," Skedgit Cinderbangs becomes a full-fledged vendor.

Step 2. Accumulate Miscellaneous Mechanica

You will need 25 Miscellaneous Mechanica. For more on the currency's sources, see the section below.

Step 3. Buy the Mount

Find Skedgit Cinderbangs in The Heaps district and purchase the Innovation Investigator. Use the item to learn the mount.

Miscellaneous Mechanica is a currency obtained exclusively in the Undermine zone. The maximum stack size is 100. The currency is bound to your Warband. Here are the main sources:

Rare Enemies

• Cartel-summoned elite mobs — the best chance of obtaining it. Each cartel in the Undermine summons an elite rare enemy weekly. These enemies drop Miscellaneous Mechanica significantly more often than ordinary ones
• Ordinary rare mobs — a drop chance of around 5%. They can be killed daily (once per day per account). Examples: Swigs Farsight, S.A.L., Sloomp, Tally Two-Tongue, Gnawcuss
• Large elite rare mobs — killed once per week per character. Examples: Darkfuse Precipitate, Gallywix Stunt Pilot, Trashernaught, Foreman Stonebreaker

Treasures and Objects

• Overflowing containers — scattered throughout the zone. The chance of obtaining it is low, but the containers spawn regularly
• Sludgy puddles — another low-chance source

Other Sources

• Fishing — Miscellaneous Mechanica can be fished out of the waters of the Undermine
• Paragon rewards — guaranteed to drop from paragon chests (a chest for each reputation level after Exalted). The Darkfuse chest gives 1–3 units
• World events — taking part in the zone's events sometimes rewards this currency

How Long the Farm Will Take

Gathering 25 Miscellaneous Mechanica is a lengthy process due to the low drop chance. According to player reports, accumulating them takes from 2 to 5 weeks with daily activity. All of the vendor's rewards (3 mounts and 6 pets) require around 113 units.

Access to the Undermine

1. Reach level 80 and complete the The War Within introductory story campaign
2. Accept the patch 11.1 starter quest, which will take you to the Undermine
3. Once the zone is unlocked, use the portal from Dornogal or a flight point for fast travel

1. Fly to the "The Heaps" flight point
2. Head south from the flight point to the "Venture Co." company building
3. Skedgit Cinderbangs is inside the building
