Intensity — Transmog Set Guide

Intensity is an epic two-handed staff from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, added with the opening of the Ulduar raid (patch 3.1). The model is built around a dark metallic shaft with a heavy head and paired fiery elements at both ends that softly smolder with a red-orange glow. The silhouette turned out large and "forge-like" — it clearly echoes the theme of Ulduar's fiery depths and its master, the Furnace Master.

The item grants intellect, stamina, critical strike rating and haste, so back in the day it was a weapon for mages, warlocks, elemental shamans, balance druids and shadow priests. For transmog the class role does not matter: the staff suits anyone who can wield two-handed staves. These days the stats are outdated, and the item's value is purely visual.

Intensity drops from Ignis the Furnace Master — the second optional boss of the Ulduar raid. The raid itself is located in the northern part of the Storm Peaks in Northrend.

• The boss stands in the Antechamber of Ulduar, roughly at coordinates /way 38.3 26.6 inside the raid.
• The staff's drop chance is around 12-13%, and it comes from the 25-player mode.
• There are no attempt limits: the raid can be run every week, with the lockout resetting once every seven days.
• The content has long been outdated in power, so Ulduar can be cleared solo at the current level with ease.

To reach the raid, fly to the Storm Peaks and head toward the gates of Ulduar in the west of the zone. The combat section opens after a short vehicle ride at the start of the dungeon — from there Ignis is in one of the first halls, next to XT-002 Deconstructor.

• It pairs with "fiery" and "forge" sets — the dark metal and smoldering embers echo armor in red-and-black tones.
• It harmonizes with the theme of titans and the machinery of Ulduar — it fits the caster-class sets from the same raid.
• It looks great on warlocks and fire mages thanks to the matching color accents with fiery spells.
• It contrasts with light cloth or white armor — the dark shaft makes the look more noticeable, a debatable but expressive choice.
