Jaithys, the Prison Blade — Transmog Set Guide

Jaithys, the Prison Blade is an epic-quality two-handed sword from the Shadowlands expansion. It is a massive blade of grim forging with a green-and-grey palette and motifs of the Maw: the hilt and guard resemble prison shackles, while otherworldly flashes race along the blade. Bound within the weapon is the soul of Jaithys — a bloodthirsty priest — that whispers threats to its wielder during combat.

The sword's defining trait is its devouring mechanic: it can consume other pieces of equipment, trading away its secondary stats for an ever more powerful permanent effect. That is why the blade is prized not only for its appearance but also for its unique behaviour in the inventory.

For transmogrification the sword has four colour variants tied to raid difficulties: Looking for Raid, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. The higher the difficulty on which the blade is obtained, the more saturated the model's glow.

The blade drops from the second-to-last boss of the Sanctum of Domination raid — Kel'Thuzad, who awaits the group on the Throne of the Damned.

To obtain the shade you need, choose the corresponding difficulty through the dungeon finder window or gather a group of friends: at the current maximum level of 90, even the Mythic version of Kel'Thuzad does not require a full raid.
