Jin'rohk, The Great Apocalypse — Transmog Set Guide

Jin'rohk, The Great Apocalypse is an epic two-handed sword in the style of the Amani trolls, added to World of Warcraft in patch 2.3.0 alongside the opening of the Zul'Aman raid. It is a massive blade with a carved hilt and a broad, curved edge that points downward when worn on the back — a distinctive trait of this particular model that sets it apart from similar troll swords.

The name harks back to the Zandali troll language: "rohk" roughly translates as "end of worlds," that is, the apocalypse. In appearance, the sword is often compared to another famous troll blade — Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds — with the two considered something of a pair.

An important point for collectors: this sword's appearance is among the unobtainable ones. The item only dropped in the original Zul'Aman raid and was removed from the game, so only those who obtained the sword before its removal can collect its look today. Below we cover where it dropped, what recolor it has and what can replace it.

Source type — a raid boss drop, now unavailable.

• The sword dropped from Zul'jin, the final boss of the original Zul'Aman — a 10-player raid for level 70 from The Burning Crusade expansion.
• Zul'Aman was located in the Ghostlands, north of the Eastern Plaguelands.
• The item was removed in patch 4.1.0, when Zul'Aman was reworked into a 5-player dungeon and a new boss took Zul'jin's place. From that point on, the sword stopped dropping.
• The appearance is "remembered" only by characters who managed to obtain the item itself before patch 4.1.0. This look can no longer be unlocked in the appearance collection.
• If the sword is not in your collection, obtaining the original through standard means in the current version of the game is impossible — refer to the alternatives in the section below.

The sword has exactly one true recolor, and it too is hard to obtain; the closest available analog by silhouette is gathered through archaeology.

• The Vengeful Gladiator's Greatsword uses the same model as Jin'rohk and differs only in tint. It is a PvP reward from Arena Season 3 of The Burning Crusade era, and in the current version of the game it is no longer awarded either.
• Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds is a different model, but very close in silhouette: it is a huge troll blade assembled through archaeology. It is the one most often taken as an obtainable replacement for Jin'rohk's look.

• Amani and Zandalari troll looks: the sword was originally designed as a troll weapon and fits sets with bone and tribal motifs.
• Outfits in a cold blue-green palette: the broad blade pairs well with armor of the same shade.
• Shamanic and "savage" looks: the rough carving of the hilt and the large blade reinforce the primal theme.
• Silhouette builds for large characters — Tauren, Orcs, Draenei: the massive two-hander emphasizes the model's size.
