Kickin' Kezan Waveshredder
Overview

The
Kickin' Kezan Waveshredder is an unusual rocketboard (a flying surfboard) added to World of Warcraft alongside patch 10.2.7 for The War Within expansion. It is a blue board styled after Kezanian goblin engineering: powerful afterburner nozzles, a deck with a tropical paint job and a cheeky inscription that nod to the beach aesthetic of Kezan. The mount works both as a ground and a flying mount: depending on your riding skill, the board switches from skimming along the ground into a sky-riding mode.
The mount was distributed exclusively through the Blizzard shop as part of the time-limited Tropical Pack. The bundle cost 15 dollars or euros and was available from July 15 to September 15, 2025. Once the promotion ended, the mount may return via the Trading Post, but no sooner than three months after the sale in the Blizzard shop wraps up.
Why you want this mount
- Versatile mode — a single board works both as a ground mount and a flying one, switching automatically based on your riding skill and character level.
- Warband-bound — the mount is unlocked at once on every character of the account in Modern WoW, including any future new heroes.
- Unique rocketboard model — a Kezanian board with five color variants in the collection, the blue version from the Tropical Pack being one of the brightest.
- Beach theme — it pairs perfectly with the two transmog sets included in that same Tropical Pack.
- No farming required — this is a shop mount, and getting it does not depend on raids, reputations or loot luck.
How to obtain
The only way to get the
Kickin' Kezan Waveshredder is to purchase the Tropical Pack in the Blizzard shop during its availability window.
- Log in to the Battle.net account linked to your WoW character.
- Go to the Tropical Pack page in the Blizzard shop (the World of Warcraft section).
- Pay for the bundle — the price was 15 dollars or euros between July 15 and September 15, 2025.
- Receive the purchase confirmation by email.
- Log into the game on any Modern WoW character, open the mailbox and collect the letter from customer support.
- Use the
Kickin' Kezan Waveshredder item — the mount will be learned for the entire Warband. - Open the collections window (the Shift+P hotkey) and confirm that the board has appeared in the mounts section.
Important: at the time of writing, the Tropical Pack has already been pulled from sale. Wait for the bundle to reappear or for the mount to come to the Trading Post.
What the Tropical Pack included
The bundle combined one mount and two full transmog sets in a black tropical color scheme. After purchase, all items automatically became available on the account and could be used by any character of the appropriate classes and factions.
| Item | Contents |
|---|---|
| Mount | |
| Set 1 | Ensemble: Black Tropical Swimwear (swimwear) — a sun visor, a belt, light sandals, beads, a skirt, a top |
| Set 2 | Ensemble: Black Tropical Beachwear (beachwear) — a life ring, sandals, wristbands, trunks, a shirt |
Both sets match the mount stylistically: a black base, tropical patterns, beach accessories. They are perfect for screenshots in summery locations such as the Tanaan Jungle or the island of Kezan.
Chances of returning to sale
Blizzard regularly brings retired bundles back, either through repeat promotions or by moving individual items to the Trading Post. By the company's rules, items from limited bundles may appear in the Post no sooner than three months after the end of the original sale.
- Tropical Pack relaunch — Blizzard sometimes brings summer bundles back the following season. Watch the shop announcements from June through August.
- Appearance in the Trading Post — the standalone mount may show up for Trader's Tender. This is a confirmed practice for other bundles.
- Subscribe to news — shop updates are published on the official WoW site.
Preparing to receive it
If the Tropical Pack returns, prepare in advance so the mount is immediately useful in the game.
- Level your riding skill up to Expert — this unlocks the board's flying mode (required on a level 30+ character).
- Save up enough gold for fast ground and flying riding — usually 1,100 gold for basic flight.
- Free up 1 slot in the mailbox for the gift from Blizzard.
- Update the game client in advance — sometimes new mounts do not show in collections until you relog.
- Link the Battle.net account to a current email and check the payment method.
Tips
Do not buy through third-party sellers — the only reliable source of the mount is the Blizzard shop. Buying keys from third parties can lead to an account ban.
Keep an eye on Blizzard promotions — the company periodically brings summer bundles back. Subscribing to the Battle.net newsletter will help you not miss a reappearance.
Use it in beach locations — the board looks especially striking in the Tanaan Jungle and on the island of Kezan.
Combine it with the sets from the bundle — Black Tropical Swimwear and Beachwear create a unified goblin-surfer look and suit screenshots.
Warband-bound — the mount is immediately available to all your characters in Modern WoW, including any future new heroes. The purchase is one-time.
Do not confuse it with other waveshredders — the model is the same, but the sources differ. If the blue color specifically matters to you, wait for the Tropical Pack to return.
Check the Trading Post monthly — Blizzard gradually moves bundle mounts to the Trading Post, and the Kickin' Kezan Waveshredder may show up there as early as 2026.
