The dagger's silhouette is calm and craftsmanlike: a short straight blade, a faceted guard, and a hilt with a dark wrap. The name refers to the Latin "lapidarius" — a master who works stone and precious gems — and the appearance backs that up: the weapon looks less like a combat blade and more like a gemcutter's precision tool. This styling fits beautifully with looks tied to the underground workshops of Khaz Algar.

The model's main appeal is how easy it is to obtain. The dagger requires neither raids nor a rare drop: the appearance unlocks through seasonal Delver's Journey progress, and the item itself can be bought from a city vendor. Delver's Journey

The item description states it outright: the appearance unlocks as you advance the Delver's Journey of Seasons 1, 2, and 3. The Delver's Journey is a seasonal reward track for delves that arrived in patch 11.0.2. Progress on it is earned by completing Bountiful Delves and weekly quests, and every few thousand points unlocks a new reward. The Lapidarius Gemcutter appearance is one such reward: earn it in any of the three seasons and you add the model to your wardrobe permanently.

Buying from the vendor

The item itself is sold by Sir Finley Mrrgglton, a vendor stocking "Delver's Treasures." He stands in Dornogal, the capital of the earthen and the main city of The War Within, in the delvers' headquarters district.

You pay for the dagger with Resonance Crystals — the common currency of Khaz Algar that accumulates from delves and other zone activities. There is no reputation or profession requirement to buy it; level 70 and access to Dornogal are enough. The easiest way to unlock the city is to start The War Within intro campaign on any character level 70 or higher.

The Lapidarius Gemcutter has no color variations of its own, but the delve dagger lineup includes a sibling model from the same set:

Umbral Artist's Chisel is the paired dagger from the same delve craftsman series: a close silhouette, but a darker blade and slightly different hilt proportions. Its appearance also unlocks through Delver's Journey progress, and the Agility-stat version additionally drops occasionally from delve bosses.
