Latro's Dancing Blade — Transmog Set Guide

Latro's Dancing Blade is a one-handed sword added to World of Warcraft with The Burning Crusade expansion (patch 2.4.0). It is an elegant curved blade with a greenish steel edge and a slender guard, styled after the elven aesthetic of Silvermoon. The model is compact and predatory, and it looks great in the hands of rogues and warriors.

The sword's main value today is its appearance. The weapon is epic quality but low item level, so people farm it purely for the look, which once obtained goes into your appearance collection and becomes available to all eligible characters on the account.

The blade pairs with Latro's Shifting Sword: together they form the two-piece set "Latro's Restraint". It is the ideal combination for a dual-wield look — both blades use the same model and look like a mirrored pair in your hands.

Latro's Dancing Blade drops from the boss Vexallus in the Magisters' Terrace dungeon. This is the second encounter in the dungeon, located on the Isle of Quel'Danas.

Key points for farming it:

• The drop chance from Vexallus is around 4.5%, so be ready for several runs.
• The dungeon resets daily, so farming happens one run per day per character on Heroic mode.
• The item becomes soulbound on pickup — you can't buy it on the auction house, you need to farm it yourself.

If you are putting together the full matched look, the second blade — Latro's Shifting Sword — drops from a different boss: Aeonus in The Black Morass dungeon in the Caverns of Time. Its drop chance is higher — around 8.8%. So for the full pair you'll have to farm two different dungeons.

This content belongs to The Burning Crusade and is long outdated in terms of power, so both dungeons are easily soloed at max level in a couple of minutes.
