Lightforged Warframe

Lightforged Warframe is an epic ground and flying mount added in patch 7.3 of the Legion expansion. It is a massive mechanical war machine of the Army of the Light, built for lightning strikes and swift retreats on Argus. The mount is purchased from Vindicator Jaelaana aboard the Vindicaar for 500,000 gold once you reach Exalted reputation with the Army of the Light faction.

The Lightforged Warframe is a golem wreathed in the golden energy of the Light. Your character climbs inside the war frame, creating the impression of piloting a mech. The mount features a unique animation when you use the /mountspecial command — firing a burst of energy from its arms.

• Guaranteed acquisition — unlike mounts with a percentage drop chance, the Lightforged Warframe is bought from a vendor. As soon as you reach the required reputation and save up the gold, the mount is yours
• Unique model — this is one of the few mounts in the form of a full-fledged war machine. Your character literally pilots a mechanical exoskeleton rather than simply riding on top
• Ground and flying — the mount works both on the ground and in the air. In flight, jet engines activate, creating an impressive visual effect
• Available to all characters — once purchased, the mount becomes available on every character on your account
• Quiet flight — unlike many mechanical mounts, the Lightforged Warframe emits a soft hum from its jet engines, without overloading the audio

To purchase the mount you must meet two conditions: reach Exalted reputation with the Army of the Light faction and have 500,000 gold.

1. Begin the Argus quest chain, which is available at level 45 (levels scale through the Chromie system). Pick up the starter quest "Hand of Fate" from Khadgar in Dalaran (Broken Isles)
2. Complete the main Argus storyline, including the Krokuun, Mac'Aree, and Antoran Wastes zones. This unlocks world quests and weekly quests
3. Grind reputation with the Army of the Light to Exalted (42,000 points total from Neutral to Exalted)
4. Save up 500,000 gold
5. Travel to the Vindicaar and find Vindicator Jaelaana on the upper deck of the ship
6. Purchase the Lightforged Warframe and use the item to learn the mount

The Vindicaar is a draenei ship that serves as the base of operations on Argus. To reach it, you must first unlock access to Argus.

First Visit

1. Travel to Dalaran in the Broken Isles (use your hearthstone if it is set to Dalaran, or a portal from your faction's capital)
2. Find Khadgar and pick up the quest "Hand of Fate" (Horde) or "The Hand of Fate" (Alliance)
3. Follow the quest chain — you will be transported to the Vindicaar automatically
4. Complete the introductory quests on Krokuun

Quick Access (after unlocking)

Once you complete the introductory quest chain on Argus, a permanent portal appears:

1. Head to Krasus' Landing in Dalaran (Broken Isles)
2. Use the golden portal to the Vindicaar
3. Climb to the upper deck — Vindicator Jaelaana stands next to the mailbox on the port side (when facing the stern)

Vendor Coordinates

To reach Exalted you need to earn 42,000 reputation points. The main sources are listed below.

Weekly Quests (main source)

Two weekly quests grant 1,000 reputation points each:

• Fuel of a Doomed World — collect 50 units of primal argunite. The resource is gathered from veins, mobs, and chests on Argus
• The Invasion of Argus — complete three Legion invasions on Argus

World Quests

Army of the Light world quests are available in Krokuun and the Antoran Wastes (but not in Mac'Aree). Each quest grants roughly 75–150 reputation points. Quests refresh every few hours.

Emissary Quests

When the Army of the Light emissary quest is active, complete four of the faction's world quests and receive 1,500 reputation points.

Additional Sources

• Argus story quests — a one-time large reputation bonus for completing the campaign
• Army of the Light Insignia — drops from command table missions, granting 250 points (normal) or 750 points (large)
• Demon's Soulstone — a rare drop from elite enemies on Argus, granting 1,000 reputation points with all Legion factions
• Rare enemies — killing rare mobs on Argus rewards a small amount of reputation

Reputation Boosters

• Darkmoon Faire — ride the carousel before doing quests to get the "WHEE!" buff (+10% reputation)
• World Quest Bonus Event — grants +50% reputation from world quests during the event week
• Banner of Cooperation — a guild perk granting +10% reputation

Daily Plan

At max level (80 in The War Within), all mobs and quests on Argus are completed instantly. The optimal daily order of actions:

1. Check whether the Army of the Light emissary is active — if so, prioritize that faction's world quests
2. Complete all available Army of the Light world quests in Krokuun and the Antoran Wastes
3. Kill rare enemies if available — they are marked with stars on the map
4. Gather argunite for the weekly quest "Fuel of a Doomed World"
5. Complete an invasion for the weekly quest "The Invasion of Argus"
6. Send out command table missions for insignia

How Long It Will Take

With active grinding, completing all available quests daily, reaching Exalted takes roughly 2–3 weeks. If you combine farming with bonus events and the Darkmoon Faire, the timeframe shortens.

Where to Get 500,000 Gold

The mount's cost is substantial. The main ways to earn it:

• Complete emissary quests on multiple characters — each yields between 500 and 2,000 gold
• Sell unwanted items and materials on the auction house
• Use professions to craft and sell in-demand items
• Run outdated raids at max level — each yields thousands of gold from selling loot
