Little White Stallion

Little White Stallion is a rare ground mount that appeared in World of Warcraft alongside the release of the Scourgewar trading card game set in late 2009. Visually it is a scaled-down copy of the classic white steed from Stormwind: the same well-groomed mane and tack, but the model is roughly half the size of a normal horse. Thanks to its dimensions, the foal looks like something between a warhorse and a pony, which is why players often call it a mini-steed.

The mount is available only to Alliance characters of the following races: human, dwarf, night elf, gnome, draenei, and worgen. The bridle cannot be obtained in-game: the item is granted exclusively for activating a promo code from a loot card in the physical Scourgewar set.

• Unique model — the scaled-down white steed is extremely rare, and on most servers this mount makes your character stand out in any capital city
• Collector value — Scourgewar has long been out of print, and sealed boosters and Tiny cards grow more expensive every year, making the mount a rare collectible asset
• Adapts to your riding skill — the mount automatically adjusts its speed to your riding level, so it suits both level 40 and level 90 alike
• Account-wide — after the promo code is activated, the mount is unlocked in the collection and appears on all Alliance characters on the account
• Low barrier to use — you only need level 20 and the Apprentice Riding skill, so the foal becomes available right after your first riding license

The only way to add the foal to your collection is to activate the promo code from a Tiny loot card. The World of Warcraft TCG was discontinued in 2013, so Blizzard and Cryptozoic no longer release new boosters. All that can be found today are sealed Scourgewar sets held by collectors and on the secondary market.

1. Find a sealed booster or a single Tiny card from the Scourgewar set. The main venues are eBay, specialized WoW TCG stores, major collectible card auctions, and collectors' flea markets
2. Check that the promo code field on the back of the card is not scratched off or activated. An activated card will no longer grant the mount — the code can only be applied once
3. Go to the promo code redemption page in your Battle.net account and enter the 25-character code from the back of the card
4. Choose an Alliance character of one of the supported races — that is who will receive the in-game mail with the item
5. Open your in-game mail. Inside the message from the support system you will find the Little White Stallion Bridle
6. Take the item from the mail and right-click to use it — the mount will automatically appear in the collection and become available to all Alliance characters on your account

The Scourgewar set has three loot cards: Tiny, Tuskarr Kite, and Spectral Kitten. Tiny has the highest chance of appearing — roughly once per 11 boosters. By comparison, the Tuskarr Kite drops once per 121 boosters, and the legendary Spectral Tiger Cub drops once per 242 boosters. That is why the bridle is considered the most accessible of the three Scourgewar rewards.

That said, "accessible" is relative. On the secondary market, the price of a single Tiny card with an unused code starts at around 15 dollars for a physical shipment and reaches 30–40 dollars for instant delivery of the digital code by email. The price gradually rises year over year, because the Scourgewar print run is limited and activated cards do not come back.

• Summoning the mount. Like all ground steeds, it cannot be used in combat, underwater, or in zones where riding is forbidden
• Speed. The mount has no fixed speed bonus and adjusts to your best ground riding skill: at Apprentice Riding (75) it grants +60%, at Journeyman Riding (150) it grants +100%
• Model size. The foal is noticeably shorter than a standard horse, so gnome and dwarf characters look especially fitting on it. On tall races like draenei the model may look disproportionately small
• Interaction with the mount journal. After the code is activated, the mount is automatically added to the shared journal. It can no longer be removed from the collection — you can only hide it from display

The TCG loot market is flooded with fakes and already-activated cards, so when searching for a Tiny from Scourgewar you should follow a few simple safety rules.

• Buy sealed boosters if your budget allows. In sealed form the chance of getting a working code is 100%, whereas single cards need to be verified
• Demand a photo of the back of the card with the protective strip intact, confirming that the code has not been activated
• Use platforms with buyer protection — eBay, specialized collectible card stores, trusted sellers wowtcgloot.com and wowtcglootcards.com. Paying by direct transfer to an unknown account is the main source of fraud in this segment
• Vet the seller by reviews and transaction history. Experienced collectors usually have a reputation on several platforms and a portfolio of previously sold codes
• Clarify the delivery method. A physical card shipment from the USA can take two to eight weeks. Digital delivery of the code by email costs more but arrives within minutes
