Lively Darkmoon Charger

Lively Darkmoon Charger is a ground mount in the Darkmoon Faire style, added in patch 11.1. It is a grim warhorse draped in tattered circus banners — a blend of shadow and spectacle. The mount is purchased from the Trading Post for 575 Trader's Tender.

The Lively Darkmoon Charger is one of a series of Darkmoon chargers that appeared in the Trading Post alongside patch 11.1. The series also includes the Midnight Darkmoon Charger and the Violet Darkmoon Charger, each costing 575 Trader's Tender.

• Unique theme — the mount is designed in the Darkmoon Faire style, with its signature tattered banners and the mystical atmosphere of a carnival show
• Accessibility — it does not require farming rare drops or clearing difficult content. You simply need to save up 575 Trader's Tender
• Collectible value — the mount appears in the Trading Post for a limited time and then goes back into rotation. It was first available in April 2025
• Mount series — it belongs to a collection of three Darkmoon chargers, each with a unique color scheme. Collectors will want to gather all three variants

The Trading Post is a permanent building in the faction capitals, available to all players.

For the Alliance

The Trading Post is located in the Mage Quarter of Stormwind, near the Stormwind Stockade.

For the Horde

The Trading Post is located in the center of Orgrimmar, to the left of Grommash Hold.

Step 1: Activate the Trading Post

If you have never used the Trading Post before, visit it for the first time. For your first interaction with the Collector's Cache you will receive 500 Trader's Tender as a bonus.

Step 2: Accumulate Trader's Tender

Trader's Tender is earned in the following ways:

• Monthly grant — 500 tender for interacting with the Collector's Cache at the start of each month
• Traveler's Log — up to 500 additional tender for completing monthly activities (dungeons, PvP, quests, professions, and other tasks)
• Accumulation — unspent tender carries over to the next month without any cap

This means you can earn up to 1,000 tender in a single month. To buy the mount for 575 tender, just one month of active play is enough.

Step 3: Wait for the Mount to Appear in the Rotation

The Trading Post inventory refreshes on the 1st of each month. The Lively Darkmoon Charger appears periodically — keep an eye on the announcements on the official site and in the news section.

Step 4: Freeze the Item (Optional)

If the mount appears in the rotation but you don't have enough tender, use the "freeze" feature. You can freeze one item, and it will remain available to you indefinitely, even after the rotation changes.

Step 5: Purchase the Mount

Approach the Trading Post NPC and buy the Lively Darkmoon Charger for 575 tender. The mount will immediately appear in your collection and will be available to all characters on your account.

Traveler's Log

The Traveler's Log is the main source of additional tender. Each month it offers a set of activities with rewards:

• Completing dungeons — Normal, Heroic, and Mythic
• PvP activities — battlegrounds and arena
• World quests — completing a certain number of world tasks
• Professions — crafting items or completing work orders
• Darkmoon Faire — taking part in games and attractions (available one week per month)

Complete a variety of activities to fill the log's bar faster and earn the maximum amount of tender.

Multiple Characters

Trader's Tender is an account-wide currency. All Traveler's Log activities count from any character. Use different characters to complete activities that are easier for certain classes.

Budget Planning

If you plan to collect all three Darkmoon chargers (3 x 575 = 1,725 tender), it will take roughly two months of saving. It is recommended not to spend tender on minor purchases, but to save up for your target mounts.
