Livestock Lochaber Axe — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Livestock Lochaber Axe is a two-handed blue-quality polearm that debuted in the Legion expansion. It is a massive halberd with a wide, curved blade on a long shaft, finished in dark steel tones with a light rusty patina — a crude, "peasant" weapon in keeping with its name.
The item belongs to the polearm slot and is suitable for transmog on classes that wield halberds: warriors, paladins, death knights, demon hunters, and druids. The piece's main appeal is its origin: it is a commemorative reward from a themed event celebrating the anniversary of Diablo, a nod to the legendary secret cow level. Its silhouette is clean and recognizable, making the halberd a great pick for brutal combat looks.
Source
The Livestock Lochaber Axe drops from The Cow King, a rare elite boss who dwells on the secret cow level, a hidden version of the farm in Duskwood. This is part of the event dedicated to Diablo's 20th anniversary, added in Legion.
- You can reach the secret cow level only through a portal opened by a Greedy Goblin. These goblins appear occasionally on the Broken Isles, in Legion dungeons of any difficulty, and in the Dalaran sewers.
- The Greedy Goblin must be killed before it finishes casting its spell and escapes. Once it dies, a portal to the cow level opens.
- On the level itself you are met by a horde of demonic cows, and deep within waits The Cow King. Defeat him for a chance at the halberd drop.
- The Cow King gives loot once per character, whereas Greedy Goblins can be farmed repeatedly to enter again.

Who It Suits Visually
- Harmonizes with dark plate and mail armor in steel and charcoal tones — the look of a grim brawler.
- Suits "peasant-warrior" concepts: the crude halberd reinforces the theme of a militiaman or butcher who has taken up arms.
- Looks great in somber themed death knight sets thanks to the strict shape of the blade.
- Contrasts with bright gilded sets — a deliberately plain weapon emphasizes the character's "on-the-march" appearance.
Tips
The halberd can only be obtained while the Diablo event is active, so watch for announcements of its return and don't put off the farm.
Greedy Goblins are skittish: hit hard right away, or the target will manage to open the portal and flee without leaving a reward.
The most convenient place to look for goblins is at the end of Legion dungeons — they appear there more often than in the open world.
The Cow King drops loot once per character, so run the event on several characters for extra chances at the drop.
The secret cow level is full of demonic cows — bring a class with area damage to push through to the boss faster.
The same event also drops other themed Diablo items, so a single run adds several rewards to your collection at once.
