Mage Guard's Spellblade — Transmog Set Guide

Mage Guard's Spellblade is a one-handed sword appearance in the sin'dorei aesthetic, added to World of Warcraft with the Midnight expansion (patch 12.0.5). It is not a combat weapon but a cosmetic item: you don't equip it, you use it, after which the appearance is permanently added to your warband's collection and becomes available to every character on the account.

The model is rendered in Silvermoon's signature colors — a gilded hilt with crimson and magically green accents characteristic of the weapons of the high elves and mage guards of the Sunwell city. The blade reads well both on the back and in hand thanks to its bright glow.

The item belongs to the set of sin'dorei weapon appearances sold for wins in the new mini-game Decorator's Duels. It has a "paired" variant — Mage Guard's Spellsteel.

The appearance is purchased for the currency Illusionary Coin from the vendor Gamesmaster Fleurian. He stands on Falconwing Square in Silvermoon next to the second mini-game vendor. The blade costs 150 Illusionary Coins.

The Illusionary Coin is a warband currency, meaning it accumulates for the whole account at once rather than for an individual character. It is earned in the Decorator's Duels — a non-lethal mini-game in the spirit of hide-and-seek: the "hiders" disguise themselves as furnishings using illusions, while the "seekers" dispel the disguise.

How to earn the coins:

• Each match played awards roughly 30-35 coins depending on the result.
• The daily quest "The Ephemeron Masquerade" grants 50 coins for participating in the mini-game.

Since the blade costs 150 coins, just a few matches or a couple of days with the daily quest are enough to afford it. There are no raids, reputation, or rare drops involved here — it's a relaxed farm through a mini-game.

• Perfectly complements blood elf looks and sin'dorei armor sets — gold with crimson echoes the faction's colors.
• Fits well with the outfits of Silvermoon mages and spellcasters thanks to the magically green glow along the blade.
