Armored Majestic Vorquin
Overview

Armored Majestic Vorquin is an epic ground mount added in patch 10.0.2 of the Dragonflight expansion. It is one of the eight racial mounts of the Dracthyr race, belonging to the armored vorquin family. The mount is purchased from the vendor Treysh in the Forbidden Reach or Tethalash in Valdrakken for 80 gold.
Why You Want This Mount
- Guaranteed acquisition — the mount is bought from a vendor for a fixed price, with no randomness
- Low cost — only 80 gold, making it one of the most affordable mounts in the game
- Unique model — vorquins are found exclusively on the Dragon Isles. Their appearance is unlike any other mount in WoW
- Account-wide — once purchased, the mount becomes available to all characters on your account
- Collection — the vorquin counts toward achievements for the number of mounts collected
How to Obtain
The method of acquisition depends on your character's race.
For Dracthyr Characters
- Create a Dracthyr character (or use an existing one)
- Complete the introductory quest chain in the Forbidden Reach
- Find the vendor Treysh in the village of Morqut in the Forbidden Reach (coordinates: /way 36.6 59.5)

Dracthyr require no reputation — the mount is available immediately after completing the starting zone.

- Complete daily and weekly quests to build reputation
- Reach Exalted with the Obsidian Warders or Dark Talons

An alternative vendor is Tethalash in Valdrakken (coordinates: /way 25.5 33.5).
Reputation Grinding for Non-Dracthyr
If you do not play a Dracthyr, you will need to reach Exalted with the Obsidian Warders (Alliance) or Dark Talons (Horde). These factions became available to grind in patch 10.0.7.
Reputation Sources
- Weekly quests — the main source of reputation in the Forbidden Reach. Complete them every week for steady progress
- Daily quests — available in the Forbidden Reach after the zone opened in patch 10.0.7
- World quests — appear in the Forbidden Reach and provide additional reputation
- Rare enemies — killing rare mobs in the Forbidden Reach rewards a small amount of reputation
- Forbidden Reach events — participate in the zone's events for bonus reputation
Grinding Tips
- Complete all available weekly quests in the Forbidden Reach — this is the most reliable method of grinding
- Kill rare mobs every time you visit the zone
- Check the world quests in the Forbidden Reach — they refresh regularly
- Use the "WHEE!" buff from the carousel at the Darkmoon Faire (+10% to reputation)
- With active farming, Exalted is reached in 3–4 weeks
Where to Find the Vendors
Treysh in the Forbidden Reach
Treysh is a Dracthyr quartermaster located in the village of Morqut in the Forbidden Reach. She sells all eight Dracthyr racial mounts, as well as a tabard and other items.
To reach the Forbidden Reach, use the portal in Valdrakken or fly directly from the Dragon Isles.
Tethalash in Valdrakken
Tethalash is a vendor in Valdrakken, located next to the Obsidian Enclave. He sells the same assortment of vorquin mounts.
Tethalash is more convenient if you are already on the Dragon Isles — Valdrakken is the capital and main hub of the expansion.
Other Vorquins
In addition to the Armored Majestic Vorquin, seven more Dracthyr racial mounts are available from the vendors. The four armored variants cost 80 gold each, while the four unarmored ones cost 40 gold each.
If you are a collector, it makes sense to buy all eight mounts in a single visit — the total cost will be just 480 gold.
Tips
Create a Dracthyr for a quick purchase — if you don't want to spend time grinding reputation, create a Dracthyr character. After completing the starting zone (about 30–40 minutes), you can buy the mount immediately
The mount is account-wide — having bought the vorquin on a Dracthyr, you can use it on any character
Buy all eight at once — if you have already reached the vendor, buy all the vorquins in a single visit. The total cost is low, and eight mounts for the collection is a great deal
Tethalash is more convenient — if your character is already on the Dragon Isles, it is easier to visit Tethalash in Valdrakken than to fly to the Forbidden Reach
Riding skill — the mount is a ground mount; its speed depends on your riding skill. With the "Expert Riding" skill, the speed will be +100%
