Mana-Seamster's Arcane-Needle — Transmog Set Guide

Mana-Seamster's Arcane-Needle is an epic two-handed staff added in The War Within with patch 11.2. It is a weapon for intellect-based specializations: the staff suits mages, druids, priests, shamans, warlocks, monks, and evokers. The model is built in the ethereal-arcane style of the season: an elongated head with a blue-violet glow and carved inlays that echo the manaforge and ethereal theme.

Beyond its looks, the staff has a combat effect called "Astral Plating": spells have a chance to grant a charge that stacks up to five, and the next time you take direct damage it consumes one charge, reducing that damage by 50%. For transmog the model is what matters, but knowing about the effect is useful for anyone farming the staff to actually play with it too.

The staff drops from the seasonal Delve sources of The War Within in the third season (patch 11.2). It is not a reward from the Manaforge Omega raid, even though its design ties into the same story theme. There are several ways to get the staff:

• From the loot that appears in the vault after clearing a Delve of the appropriate tier.
• From caches and explorer's trophy chests inside the Delves themselves.
• From the Great Vault for completing weekly Delve tasks.

For the staff to even enter the reward pool, you need the appropriate Delve tier — the achievement War Within Delves: Tier 3 gives a reference point for your progress. The higher the Delve tier you clear, the higher your chance of encountering an epic item.

The staff is done in the general ethereal-arcane theme of the third season of The War Within, so its model shares its appearance with a number of other items of the same design. That is more reliable than any static list, since the set of recolors changes from season to season.

• It fits sets in a blue-violet palette — for example, cloth sets with arcane and ethereal motifs.
• It harmonizes with mage and warlock looks that emphasize glow and magical effects.
• It stands out in dark necromantic or shadow priest looks, adding a cold blue accent.
• It pairs well with the violet-silver armor colorations of the ethereals from the same seasonal theme.
