Millennium Blade drops from the boss Temporus — the second enemy in the The Black Morass dungeon, located in the Caverns of Time in Tanaris.
- The drop chance is around 10%, which is quite comfortable for targeted appearance farming.
- The item becomes soulbound on pickup, so it cannot be handed to another character — the look is collected by whichever hero killed the boss.
- The dungeon is cleared solo at max level without difficulty: all The Burning Crusade content dies in a few hits.
- Temporus appears after the twelfth time portal opens, so you need to fend off several waves of enemies before reaching him.
The Black Morass is an unusual dungeon: instead of clearing corridors, you defend Medivh while he opens the Dark Portal. If you are entering for the first time and want to credit the story quest, you can pick up the quest The Opening of the Dark Portal from Sa'at at the entrance. For appearance farming alone the quest is not required — it is enough to push events until Temporus appears and kill him.
Getting to the dungeon is easy: fly to the Caverns of Time in Tanaris, descend the tunnel, and speak with the guide dragon who will transport you to the entrance of the Black Morass.

There are almost no reset restrictions: you can reset and re-enter the dungeon until the look drops.
Take the The Opening of the Dark Portal quest from Sa'at if you also want to close the dungeon achievement — the task does not interfere with farming.
At max level the enemy waves pose no threat, so you can ignore defending Medivh and simply push events to Temporus.
This same boss and the dungeon as a whole also drop other weapon looks, so a single run often brings several collection targets at once.
If you farm on several characters, remember: the appearance is account-bound, and re-collecting the same blade on other heroes is unnecessary.
