Overview

Molten Edge Eviscerator

Game iconMolten Edge Eviscerator is an epic one-handed dagger from the Warlords of Draenor expansion. It's a short blade with a heavy faceted edge in the industrial style of the Blackrock Clan: dark steel, a forged grip, and a red-hot edge that looks like it was just pulled from a blacksmith's forge.

The dagger is an agility weapon and is intended primarily for rogues, while also suiting demon hunters and feral druids in beast form. The blade's look fits well with any image built around fire, metal, and smithing themes, especially armor sets from the same Foundry.

The item was added in patch 6.0 and drops from the Blackrock Foundry raid in Gorgrond. Despite its age, the dagger remains a sought-after transmog.

Source

The Molten Edge Eviscerator drops from Flamebender Ka'graz in the Blackrock Foundry raid. She is a war-shaman of the Burning Blade clan, the second boss of the Black Forge wing.

Key loot details:

  • The raid is located in the northern part of the Gorgrond zone, with the entrance at the meeting stone at roughly /way Gorgrond 51.7 29.0.
  • The dagger drops on all difficulties — Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. The appearance is identical; only the item's numerical stats differ.
  • The drop chance from Flamebender Ka'graz is around 12–13%. The boss yields several items on death, so the dagger is just one of the possible drops.
  • The kill lock is once per week on each difficulty. To speed up farming, it makes sense to clear the raid on several difficulties in a single week.

Today the raid is easily soloed: a level 90 character in combat gear vastly outclasses Warlords of Draenor content thanks to the damage bonus in legacy raids from previous expansions. Only the first boss of the wing blocks the path to Flamebender Ka'graz, so you'll reach her in a couple of minutes.

Who it suits visually

  • Pairs with the tier 17 raid armor sets from Blackrock Foundry — they share a palette of dark metal and forge fire.
  • Harmonizes with any leather armor in a red-and-black scheme that has smoldering or red-hot elements.
  • Suits looks built around forge, volcano, and Blackrock Clan themes — the red-hot edge reinforces the fiery accent.
  • Looks great paired with a second identical dagger: two blades with burning edges give a cohesive, eye-catching silhouette for a rogue.
  • Contrasts with cold icy and nature sets — a debatable combination, but quite workable for a bold accent.

Tips

1

To farm, enter the raid solo through the group finder menu — on low difficulties Flamebender Ka'graz dies in a few seconds.

2

Clear the raid on every available difficulty each week: each one gives a separate chance at the dagger, and the appearance is shared.

3

If you need the agility version by stats but the caster one drops, pick it up anyway: the appearance unlocks for the collection once and is then available to all eligible classes.

4

It's most convenient to farm on a rogue or another highly mobile class — the path from the entrance to Flamebender Ka'graz is short, but there's plenty of running around the Foundry.

5

There are no repair vendors inside the Foundry itself, so bring a mount with a repair function or repair your gear in advance.

6

Besides the dagger, tier 17 armor pieces also drop from Flamebender Ka'graz — in a single run you can collect both the weapon and the set in a matching style.

7

If the dagger stubbornly refuses to drop, don't forget about the second model variant from the same boss — the combined chance to unlock an appearance per run is higher that way.
