Get Reins of the Night Pterrorwing mount

Reins of the Night Pterrorwing is a flying pterrorwing mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2.7 alongside the limited-time event WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria. It is a winged saurian in a dark blue-purple coloration, a relative of the pterrordax of the Krasarang Wilds and the Townlong Steppes. According to the item description, scholars interpret this creature's eerie shrieks as "fear me, for I am the night."

The mount was sold for 4,400 Bronze by Hemet Nesingwary XVII at the Infinite Bazaar in Pandaria during the remix. After the event ended, the mount moved into the retired category and is unavailable until the event possibly returns, though already-learned copies remain in the collection on retail.

The only path to the mount is the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event. If the remix is active, follow these steps.

1. Create or activate a character in Timerunner mode through the dedicated character-select screen in the World of Warcraft menu
2. Complete the introductory storyline and arrive in Pandaria — the starting zone depends on your chosen faction
3. Accumulate at least 4,400 Bronze through daily quests, dungeons, raids, world rares, and gear scrapping
4. Find Hemet Nesingwary XVII at any of Pandaria's Infinite Bazaars
5. In the mounts category, select the Reins of the Night Pterrorwing and buy the item
6. Use the reins — the mount is automatically added to the current character's collection, and after transfer to retail it becomes available to the whole account

Hemet Nesingwary XVII works at every Infinite Bazaar in Pandaria. All points are identical in stock — choose the one nearest your starting zone.

Hemet Nesingwary XVII sells four pterrorwing variants at once for the same price. Each has a unique coloration, and most collectors buy them together.

In total, the full set of four pterrorwings requires 17,600 Bronze — about 18 daily exploration quests or several raid runs on a Timerunner.

Bronze drops from almost any activity in the remix, but there are the most efficient sources.

1. Daily tasks at the Infinite Bazaar — talk to the herald near Hemet Nesingwary XVII and take quests to kill rares, clear raid wings, and gather timewarped ore and herbs. The reward is 1,000 Bronze and an epic cache for each completed task
2. Clearing dungeons and raids — every dungeon and raid guarantees several hundred Bronze plus gear to scrap
3. Pandaria world rares — marked with special icons on the map, they reward caches and Bronze; some also have a chance at exclusive mounts
4. Scrapping gear — surplus threads and items, once you reach the stat cap, can be turned into Bronze via the Quicksand ability
5. Heroic World difficulty — in heroic world mode, Bronze and gear drop more often, which is especially profitable on awakened characters
