Get Pale Gravewing mount

Pale Gravewing is an epic ground and flying mount added in patch 9.1 "Chains of Domination" of the Shadowlands expansion. It is a pale gargoyle from Revendreth, bred for lightning-fast assaults on the Maw. The mount is purchased from Duchess Mynx at Keeper's Respite in Korthia for 1,000 Stygia, requiring Exalted reputation with the Death's Advance faction and the completed On the Offensive achievement.

The Pale Gravewing belongs to the gravewing family — the flying gargoyles of Revendreth. The mount model is a winged creature with a pale-gray coat, massive wings and predatory claws. Your character rides atop the gargoyle's back. The Pale Gravewing is one of five gravewing color variants, alongside the bronze, obsidian, masterful and the Sinfall Gravewing.

• Covenant restriction lifted — originally the mount was available only to members of the Venthyr covenant, but in the current version of the game the covenant restrictions are gone, and any character can use the Pale Gravewing
• Low cost — 1,000 Stygia accumulates over a few visits to the Maw; most of the time goes into grinding reputation and completing the achievement

To buy the mount you need to meet three requirements: reach Exalted reputation with Death's Advance, complete the On the Offensive achievement and have 1,000 Stygia.

1. Unlock access to Korthia by completing the patch 9.1 introductory quest chain in Oribos
2. Begin completing daily and weekly quests in Korthia to grind reputation with Death's Advance
3. At the same time, take part in covenant assaults in the Maw to progress the On the Offensive achievement
4. Accumulate 1,000 Stygia by killing mobs and completing quests in the Maw
5. Once all requirements are met, find Duchess Mynx at Keeper's Respite in Korthia
6. Purchase the Pale Gravewing and use the item to learn the mount

On the Offensive is a meta-achievement that requires completing 4 of 9 sub-achievements during covenant assaults in the Maw. Covenant assaults are events that occur in the Maw and rotate every 3.5 days.

Completion tips

• You only need to complete 4 of the 9 achievements — pick the ones available in the current assault
• Assaults rotate every 3.5 days, so not all achievements are available at the same time
• Some achievements are tied to specific quests that may not appear in every assault — be patient
• The achievement is account-wide — progress is shared across characters
• At max level the Maw's mobs pose no threat, and assaults are completed quickly

To reach Exalted you need to earn 42,000 reputation points. With active farming this takes about 6–7 weeks.

Daily quests (the main source)

Several quests are available daily at Keeper's Respite in Korthia. Each quest grants 125 reputation points. Some quests additionally reward Gratitude of Death's Advance, granting another 175 reputation points.

Weekly quest "Shaping Fate"

The weekly quest "Shaping Fate" requires completing activities in Korthia (killing rare enemies, opening chests, destroying ordinary mobs) until the progress bar fills to 100%. The reward is 750 reputation points.

Covenant assaults

Completing a covenant assault in the Maw grants 350 reputation points with Death's Advance. Two assaults are available each week, giving 700 points in total.

• Korthia rare enemies — killing rare mobs in the zone rewards a small amount of reputation
• Korthia chests — opening chests in the zone grants reputation points
• Stolen Korthian Supplies — a rare drop from Rift portals in Korthia. Grants a quest rewarding 200 reputation points (once per week)
• Death's Advance insignias — drop from command table missions, granting 250 points (regular) or 750 points (large)

Reputation boosters

• Darkmoon Faire — ride the carousel before doing quests to gain the "WHEE!" buff (+10% reputation for 60 minutes)
• World Quest Bonus Event — grants +50% reputation gained from world quests during the event week
• Banner of Cooperation — a guild bonus of +10% reputation

Korthia is a zone added in patch 9.1 of Shadowlands. It is located in the Maw and serves as the main hub for the patch's daily content.

First visit

1. Make sure your character has reached max level and completed the Shadowlands introductory campaign
2. Pick up the patch 9.1 starting quest in Oribos from Bolvar Fordragon
3. Follow the quest chain — it will lead you to Korthia and unlock Keeper's Respite

Quick access (after unlocking)

Once the introductory quest chain is completed, a permanent portal appears:

1. Head to Oribos
2. Descend to the Maw entrance (the lower level of Oribos)
3. Use the flight point or portal to Korthia
4. Keeper's Respite is in the northern part of the zone — all the key NPCs are here, including Duchess Mynx

Stygia is the currency of the Maw and Korthia. Buying the mount requires only 1,000 Stygia, which is a small amount.

Main sources of Stygia

• Daily quests in Korthia — reward Stygia alongside reputation
• Killing mobs in the Maw — ordinary mobs give a few Stygia, rares up to 45 per kill
• Covenant assaults — completing assaults grants Stygia
• Chests in the Maw and Korthia — contain Stygia
• Weekly quest "Shaping Fate" — rewards Stygia in addition to reputation

Important note

At max level the mobs of the Maw and Korthia are destroyed instantly. You will accumulate 1,000 Stygia over a few days of regular reputation grinding — there is no need to farm Stygia specifically.

Daily plan

1. Check which covenant assault is currently active — if it's the one needed for the On the Offensive achievement, prioritize it
2. Complete all the daily quests in Korthia — they grant both reputation and Stygia
3. Kill the available rare enemies in Korthia — they are marked on the map
4. Open every chest you come across along the way
5. Progress the weekly quest "Shaping Fate"
6. Send out command table missions for Death's Advance insignias

How long it will take

With active completion of daily and weekly quests, reaching Exalted with Death's Advance takes 6–7 weeks. The On the Offensive achievement may require additional time due to assault rotation — some sub-achievements are tied to quests that don't appear in every assault.
