Overview

Prestigious Forest Courser

Game iconPrestigious Forest Courser is an epic ground and flying mount added in patch 7.2.5 of the Legion expansion. It is a warhorse with a distinctive scythe-shaped horn and a green coloration, one of seven prestigious courser variants awarded for reaching specific honor levels in PvP. The Prestigious Forest Courser unlocks automatically upon reaching honor level 125.

The item description reads: "One of the valiant steeds of the Broken Isles, unmatched among the horses of Azeroth in ferocity and strength." The mount model is distinguished by its massive build, battle-armor ornamentation, and an emerald-green mane.

Why You Want This Mount

  • A symbol of PvP dedication — honor level 125 requires hundreds of hours in battlegrounds and arenas. This mount shows that you are a seasoned PvP player with serious experience.
  • Ground and flying — since the Shadowlands expansion, all prestigious coursers gained the ability to fly. You can use the mount both on the ground and in the air.
  • Unique green coloration — out of the seven prestigious courser variants, the forest one stands out with a vivid emerald palette that is rarely seen among mounts.
  • Available to all characters — once obtained, the mount becomes available on every character of your account.
  • Guaranteed acquisition — unlike mounts with a percentage drop rate, the Prestigious Forest Courser is awarded automatically upon reaching the required honor level. No RNG — just your time and effort.

Requirements

To obtain the mount you need to meet a single condition: reach honor level 125. Honor level is account-wide, so you can level it up on any character.

  • Character level: 10+ (to participate in PvP)
  • Riding skill: Apprentice Riding (for ground mode), Expert Riding (for flying)
  • Faction: any (Alliance or Horde)
  • Honor level: 125

How to Obtain

  1. Make sure your character has reached at least level 10 and has access to PvP content.
  2. Open the PvP tab in the group menu (the H key by default) and check your current honor level — it is displayed at the top of the window.
  3. Take part in PvP activities: random battlegrounds, rated arenas, epic battlegrounds, PvP Brawls, and War Mode quests.
  4. Every victory and participation grant honor points, which fill the progress bar of your current level.
  5. Keep earning honor points until you reach level 125.
  6. Upon reaching honor level 125, the Game iconPrestigious Forest Courser mount will automatically appear in your mount collection.

Step-by-Step Guide to Leveling Your Honor Level

Honor level is a global indicator of PvP progress, shared across all characters on the account. Each level requires a certain amount of honor points, and the requirements increase as the level rises. Reaching level 125 will take a significant amount of time.

The Most Efficient Methods

The "Arathi Blizzard" PvP Brawl

This is the fastest way to level up your honor level. "Arathi Blizzard" is a special brawl in which you fight against bots in Arathi Basin. Matches last 3–5 minutes, and each victory grants around 500 honor points. The brawl is not always available — keep an eye on the PvP event schedule in the in-game calendar.

Tactics: at the start of the match, capture the Stables with your whole group, then split up across the remaining nodes. The bots are weak and predictable, so the match wraps up quickly.

Random Battlegrounds

The primary leveling method outside of events. Matches last 10–15 minutes, and a victory grants 400–800 honor points. The first win of the day gives an additional bonus.

Epic Battlegrounds

The queues are longer, but matches grant more honor thanks to their duration and the number of kills. They are suited for "background" farming, when you combine PvP with other tasks.

Rated Arenas and Solo Shuffle

Solo Shuffle is a 3v3 format with rotating rosters. Healers get almost instant queues. Each completed shuffle grants 800–1,200 honor points when you win several rounds. It suits those who want to combine rating and honor level progression.

Bonuses and Boosters

  • Flask of Tainted Honor — increases the honor you receive by 15%. Purchased for honor points from PvP vendors.
  • Faction call-to-arms bonus — if your faction is short on players in battlegrounds, you receive +50% honor. A shield icon next to the queue button signals an active bonus.
  • PvP bonus event — weekly PvP events increase battleground rewards.
  • First win of the day — each day, the first battleground win grants additional honor points.
  • Multiple characters — honor level is shared across the account, so you can farm daily bonuses on several characters.

How Much Time It Will Take

Reaching honor level 125 is a lengthy process. With active play (2–3 hours of PvP per day) using boosters and bonus events, it can take several months. If you farm deliberately during the "Arathi Blizzard" brawl, the process speeds up significantly. Many players reach this goal in 4–6 months of regular PvP activity.

All Prestigious Courser Variants

The Prestigious Forest Courser is part of a series of seven mounts, each of which unlocks at a specific honor level.

Mount Honor level Coloration

Game iconPrestigious Azure Courser 70 Blue
Game iconPrestigious Forest Courser 125 Emerald green
Game iconPrestigious Royal Courser 150 Purple
Game iconPrestigious Midnight Courser 250 Black
Game iconPrestigious Bloodforged Courser 500 Crimson red

Tips

1

Use the "Arathi Blizzard" brawl — it is the most efficient honor leveling method. Watch the in-game calendar and plan active farming for those weeks.

2

Activate War Mode — when completing world quests with War Mode enabled, you additionally earn honor points for killing enemy players.

3

Don't forget about flasks — the Flask of Tainted Honor is inexpensive and gives a noticeable 15% bonus. Always use it before starting a PvP session.

4

Farm on multiple characters — honor level is account-wide. Use the first-win-of-the-day bonus on every character to speed up your progress.

5

Play a healer — if you have a healer character, queues for Solo Shuffle and battlegrounds will be minimal, which significantly increases your honor per hour.

6

Watch for the call-to-arms bonus — when your faction gets the +50% honor bonus, it's the best time for mass battleground farming.

7

Combine with weekly quests — the weekly PvP quest in Valdrakken rewards additional honor points and gear.

8

Don't rush — 125 honor levels can't be earned in a week. Set a comfortable pace and enjoy the PvP process, and the mount will be a pleasant bonus for your efforts.
