Radiant Slicer is an epic one-hand dagger added to World of Warcraft with the launch of the Midnight expansion. It is a Season 1 dungeon drop: the item falls from the final Mythic Keystone boss, and its item level depends on the difficulty of the run you choose.

Visually the dagger leans into a radiant aesthetic with a faint touch of Void magic — the signature theme of the whole dungeon. The narrow, polished blade has a lengthwise energy fuller that glows softly from within, the hilt is wrapped in gold, and a small ornate guard fans out to the sides in thin wings. The silhouette is clean and "ceremonial": the blade reads well in attack animations and is not overloaded with detail.

The dagger is worn by rogues — it drops in the dungeon as specialized loot meant for them. The appearance unlocks in your wardrobe automatically as soon as the item enters your inventory, so a single drop is enough for the collection. Many players farm it for paired daggers with the same silhouette in both hands.

Radiant Slicer drops from Lothraxion — the final, third boss of the Zenas Nexus Node dungeon. This dungeon is part of the Midnight Season 1 set, located in the Void Storm zone within Quel'Thalas.

In the storyline, the Zenas Nexus Node is an abandoned naaru complex riddled with unstable Void energy and arcane magic. Lothraxion, blinded by betrayal, storms the Node alone and prepares to breach the Nexus Core, threatening a chain explosion capable of destroying Silvermoon.

Difficulties and item level

Item levels match the start of Midnight Season 1. In later patches Blizzard may raise the reward cap from Mythic Keystones.

Drop chance

• Radiant Slicer is specialized loot for rogues: it belongs to the personal pool of dagger-wearing classes.
• On Normal and Heroic, loot is awarded personally at the end of the run; in a Mythic Keystone a single item sits in the chest at the finish.
• The Great Vault provides an extra chance: for every three Mythic Keystones cleared in a week, a row with a possible drop from the season's dungeons is added to your weekly choice.

How to enter the dungeon

The entrance to the Zenas Nexus Node is in the Void Storm zone, at coordinates 64.75 61.75. You can open the dungeon in two ways:

• Complete the intro quest Zenas Nexus Node: Eclipse — it leads you to the entrance and guides you through the first run with companions.
• Or reach level 90 on any character on the account and queue through the Dungeon Finder window.

Boss Lothraxion — what you need to know for the drop

• This is the dungeon's final fight, so before the loot chest you first have to clear the two previous bosses — Kazret and Core-Keeper Nisarra.
• During the "Divine Trickery" phase Lothraxion splits into several shadow copies and hides among them. The real boss is given away by the horns on his head — the copies have none.
• The "Radiant Scattering" ability leaves heavy periodic damage: keep defensive cooldowns ready under it, and have the healer hold major healing cooldowns.
• "Fiery Cleave" hits the tank and demands a serious defensive ability at the exact moment of the strike.
• On high Mythic Keystones the copies' explosion zones delete a target almost instantly without a defensive cooldown — keep your distance and don't stand in the line of the flashes.

Radiant Slicer has a mirror model from the same season — giving collectors two routes to one silhouette:

If you already have the light version, it is worth going for the dark one too: the Murder Row dungeon is part of the same Midnight Season 1 seasonal rotation and requires no separate campaign. Both models share one silhouette, so the "light plus dark" pair can be assembled within a single seasonal pass.

This model has no additional standalone colors at the season's launch — only these two variants, light and dark, are known.

• It fits radiant and "holy" rogue sets — especially kits with a gold trim and cream-colored leather.
• It harmonizes with ceremonial gear in gold and sunlit tones: the overall gold accent of the hilt and the thin light lines of the blade echo such sets.
• It works with dark leather armor as a single "ceremonial" weapon in the active hand — the glowing blade stands out brightly against a muted kit.
• It is a great match for a second, dark dagger of the same silhouette: the identical model in both hands gives a clean, contrasting rogue look.
• It is less fitting in "nature" sets full of foliage and wood textures — the cold light blade looks alien there.
