Overview

Raging Magmammoth

Game iconRaging Magmammoth is a ground mount added in the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.0.2). It is a fiery mammoth with lava armor and a molten hide — one of the most striking mounts of Dragonflight's first season. The mount is awarded for the meta-achievement Glory of the Vault Raider, which requires completing eight special achievements in the Vault of the Incarnates raid.

Vault of the Incarnates is the first raid of the Dragonflight expansion, located in Thaldraszus. The raid contains eight bosses, and each of them has one achievement that is part of the meta-achievement.

Why You Want This Mount

  • Guaranteed acquisition — the Raging Magmammoth does not depend on luck. You complete specific conditions in the raid and receive the mount. No random drop
  • Unique model — a lava mammoth with fiery armor stands out among other mounts. Its bright red coloring and flame effects draw attention
  • Available to all characters — once obtained, the mount appears in the collection on all characters of the account
  • The raid is outdated — Vault of the Incarnates belongs to a previous expansion, and the bosses are significantly weaker than level 90 characters in Midnight gear. The achievements are completed faster than in current content

How to Get to Vault of the Incarnates

The raid entrance is located in the east of Thaldraszus, across from Tyrhold.

/way #2025 73.1 55.6 Vault of the Incarnates

Quick Route

  1. Use a hearthstone or portal to Valdrakken
  2. Fly on a dragon to the eastern part of Thaldraszus — the raid entrance is visible from afar thanks to its distinctive stone portal
  3. Alternatively: use the flight point at Tyrhold and fly a short way east

There are no additional requirements to enter the raid — you just need to reach the portal.

Vault of the Incarnates Bosses

The raid is divided into three wings and contains eight bosses:

# Boss Wing
1 Eranog Primal Bulwark
2 Terros Caverns of Infusion
3 Kadros Icewrath Primal Bulwark
4 Sennarth Caverns of Infusion
5 Dathea, Ascended Primal Bulwark
6 Kurog Grimtotem Caverns of Infusion
7 Broodkeeper Diurna Wrath of the Storm
8 Raszageth Wrath of the Storm

Full Achievement List

Below are all eight achievements required to obtain the mount. Each is tied to a specific boss and is completed on normal difficulty or higher.

1. What Frozen Things Do

Achievement: What Frozen Things Do (ID: 16335) Boss: Eranog

Find the Frozen Portal Stone in the trash area before Eranog (left side of the corridor). When someone in the group picks up the stone, a Burning Behemoth will appear from the portal during the fight. Lead it through the lava pools that form during the encounter — each pool removes one stack of its absorb. After removing all stacks, kill the Behemoth, then finish off Eranog.

Tip: be sure to remove all absorb stacks before you kill the added enemy, otherwise the achievement will not count.

2. Little Friends

Achievement: Little Friends (ID: 16365) Boss: Terros

In Terros's room there are three Slumbering Earthen Crystals — by the north, west and east walls. During the fight, areas of Awakened Earth appear on the ground beneath players. You need to stand on each of the three crystals while carrying this effect to activate them. After all three are activated, Charged Earthen Elementals will appear — kill them, then finish off Terros.

Tip: all three crystals must be activated before the first cast of "Shatter", because it will destroy any pillars already placed.

3. The Lunker Below

Achievement: The Lunker Below (ID: 16364) Boss: Council of Elements

Before the fight with the Council of Elements, destroy the four mini-bosses in the room. After that, a fishing spot will appear in the lava. Cast your line and catch the Lurking Lunker — a huge frog with a large health pool. The frog will attack the raid, but you do not need to kill it. Avoid the brown circles (knockback) and the green cone (poison, lethal at 10 stacks). Kill all four members of the Council while the frog is alive.

Tip: the frog has an enormous amount of health (about 2.6 billion), so don't waste time on it — focus on the bosses.

4. I Was Saving That For Later

Achievement: I Was Saving That For Later (ID: 16419) Boss: Sennarth

Across the three floors of Sennarth's room there are five web-wrapped prisoners. To free a prisoner, kill the small Caustic Spiderling next to them — its explosion will destroy the web. Free all five before Sennarth reaches the top floor. When Sennarth casts "Web Blast", it will pull the freed prisoners toward her — this completes the achievement.

Tip: the fourth prisoner is located near a ledge, so be careful with knockback. If your group has a death knight, they can use Death Grip as a safeguard.

5. Nothing But Air

Achievement: Nothing But Air (ID: 16458) Boss: Dathea, Ascended

During the fight, Dathea creates cyclones that toss players into the air. Wind Clusters float in the air — they need to be picked up. Each player can pick up only one cluster per fight. Collect eight clusters (with eight different players), then kill Dathea.

Tip: this achievement requires at least 8 players. Demon hunters and evokers have an advantage thanks to their gliding ability. Umbrella toys (for example, the Faded Violet Umbrella) provide air control and make collecting clusters easier. Try it on normal difficulty — it is easier to control the mechanics that way.

6. The Power is MINE!

Achievement: The Power is MINE! (ID: 16450) Boss: Kurog Grimtotem

Drag Kurog through the four elemental quadrants in strict order: Earth, Fire, Air, Frost. There is no time limit — you just need to lead the boss through each quadrant at least once in the specified order. When Kurog reaches the Frost quadrant, a Primordial Avatar will appear in the center of the room. Kill the avatar, then finish off Kurog.

Tip: when moving between quadrants through the center of the room, Kurog deals heavy damage to the entire raid. Use defensive abilities and have healing ready in advance.

7. Incubation Extermination

Achievement: Incubation Extermination (ID: 16442) Boss: Broodkeeper Diurna

Let the proto-dragon whelps of the four elements (fire, water, earth, air) hatch from their eggs. All four elemental proto-whelps must be killed within 10 seconds of each other. Coordinate group damage and deliver the killing blow simultaneously.

Tip: assign three tanks — one holds Diurna, the other two control the whelps. Don't kill the whelps too early. Gather all four, bring their health down to roughly the same level, then finish them off with simultaneous burst damage.

8. The Ol' Raszle Daszle

Achievement: The Ol' Raszle Daszle (ID: 16451) Boss: Raszageth

During the first intermission (at 65% boss health), two Clusters of Storm Essence appear on the side platforms. Two players must quickly reach the platforms and pick up the clusters before they disappear. These players keep the essence until the third phase. In the third phase, both players with clusters must stand together in the Raging Storm area (blue lightning at the platform's edge). This spawns a Condensed Storm — kill it and finish the fight against Raszageth.

Tip: the best candidates for collecting the clusters are demon hunters (Pathway into the Void), evokers and druids, because they move easily between platforms. If a player with a cluster dies, they can be resurrected — the essence effect is preserved.

Optimizing Your Run

Group Size and Composition

Most achievements are completed by a group of 10-15 people on normal difficulty. "Nothing But Air" requires at least 8 unique players. For "Incubation Extermination", 3 tanks are recommended.

A raid from a previous expansion is significantly easier in The War Within gear, but it cannot be completed entirely solo — the mechanics of some bosses (Broodkeeper Diurna, Raszageth) require multiple players.

Completion Order

Not all eight achievements have to be done in a single run. You can complete them gradually, one or two per weekly raid lockout. The achievements are tied to the account, so part can be done on one character and part on another.

Finding a Group

Use the in-game Group Finder tool (the "Legacy Raids" section, or create your own group). In the group description, specify exactly which achievement you plan to complete. Groups for "Glory of the Raider" form regularly.

Tips

1

Start with the easy achievements — "What Frozen Things Do" (Eranog), "Little Friends" (Terros) and "The Lunker Below" (Council of Elements) are considered the easiest in the meta-achievement

2

Save "Nothing But Air" for last — this achievement requires the most coordination and at least 8 players. Demon hunters and evokers make the task significantly easier

3

Gear is not critical — in Midnight equipment the normal-difficulty bosses of Vault of the Incarnates die quickly. The main thing is to correctly meet the achievement conditions, not to deal maximum damage

4

Stock up on an umbrella — for the achievement "Nothing But Air" an umbrella toy gives directional flight in the air instead of a chaotic fall

5

Fishing is mandatory — for "The Lunker Below" you need the fishing skill. Make sure you have a fishing pole before going into the raid

6

Farm achievements on alts — if you have several level 90 characters, you can run the raid on each of them weekly and complete different achievements. Meta-achievement progress is shared across the entire account
