Relinquished Scarlet Charger — How to Get the Mount

Relinquished Scarlet Charger — a ground mount that you are guaranteed to receive for completing the quest Relinquishing Relics in the Midnight expansion. This is an HD version of the legendary Scarlet Crusade charger: an armored white horse that turned to the Light after its former mistress Elise renounced the Scarlet Crusade.

The mount is available to all classes and both factions. No random drops — you simply need to reach the right quest in the campaign.

After completing the introductory campaign in the Eversong Woods, three leveling branches will open on the scouting map in the Sanctuary of Light: Zul'Aman, Harandar, and Arator's Journey. You can complete them in any order. To obtain the mount, you need the Arator's Journey branch.

The mount is awarded on the 10th quest out of 13 in the Path of Light branch. Here is the complete quest list in order:

Relinquishing Relics is the quest that rewards the Relinquished Scarlet Charger.

Step 1. Complete the Introductory Campaign

Finish the introductory quests in the Eversong Woods (levels 80-83). This is a mandatory stage for all three Midnight leveling branches.

Step 2. Choose the Arator's Journey Branch

After completing the introductory campaign, open the scouting map in the Sanctuary of Light. Select the "Arator's Journey" branch. You will set off to search for relics of the Light together with Arator — son of Turalyon and Alleria Windrunner.

Step 3. Head to the Eastern Plaguelands

The first quest of the chain begins in the Eastern Plaguelands. Alonsus Faol asks you to recruit Arator for a journey across all of Azeroth in search of sacred relics for the Sunwell.

Step 4. Progress Through Key Locations

The chain will take you through several iconic locations:

• Light's Hope Chapel — here you will collect relics and repel a Scourge attack
• Scarlet Monastery — infiltrate the monastery corridors to put an end to those who used the Light for their hateful purposes
• Sunwell — your base of operations, where you will return between excursions

Step 5. Complete the Quest "Relinquishing Relics"

On the 10th quest of the chain, Alonsus Faol will ask you to distribute the collected relics to allies. You need to:

1. Speak with Elise (optional step)
2. Give a relic to Taelia Fordragon
3. Give a relic to Valunae
4. Give a relic to Salandria
5. Give a relic to Melar Dawnblade
6. Give the remaining relics to Velen

After turning in the quest, you will automatically receive the Relinquished Scarlet Charger in your mount collection.

Step 6. Use the Mount

Open the mount journal (default shortcut Shift+P), find "Relinquished Scarlet Charger," and add it to your favorites. The mount is already available on all your characters.

Optimal leveling approach. Many players complete Arator's Journey first among the three branches, since the mount is a nice bonus during the leveling process. The quest chain takes approximately 1-2 hours depending on how fast you read quest texts.

All three branches are required. Keep in mind that to unlock the Voidstorm zone (levels 88-90), you will need to complete all three branches: Arator's Journey, Zul'Aman, and Harandar. You will get the mount along the way while leveling.

Engineering and navigation. If your character has Engineering and you have Dark Flame Rockets, they work indoors — and Arator's branch has quite a few underground sections with long corridors.

Reputation. The quest grants 500 reputation points with the Silvermoon Court. At early renown levels, every reputation source is valuable, making this bonus another reason to complete the branch early.

Ground mount. The Relinquished Scarlet Charger is exclusively a ground mount. Its speed depends on your riding skill level: +60% with basic riding and +100% with advanced riding.
