Overview

Restoration Deathwalker

Game iconRestoration Deathwalker is a flying mount from the death elemental family, added in patch 9.2.5. It is the last of the four Deathwalkers awarded for the Keystone Master achievement in each season of the Shadowlands expansion. The mount features a rich purple coloring with golden armor — its appearance was reworked by the developers just a day after its initial announcement, since players felt the original teal-and-silver model looked too similar to the Season Two variant.

Important: The Restoration Deathwalker is a Feat of Strength reward and is no longer obtainable. Shadowlands Season Four ended on October 25, 2022, and the achievement can no longer be completed. If you didn't earn this mount in time, there is no alternative way to acquire it.

What Was Required to Earn It

To earn the mount, you needed to complete the Shadowlands Keystone Master: Season Four achievement by reaching a Mythic+ rating of at least 2000 between August 2 and October 25, 2022.

The Mythic+ rating was made up of your best timed dungeon runs. To hit the 2000 mark, most players needed to consistently complete +15 keys and higher within the time limit.

Season Four Dungeons

Shadowlands Season Four featured a unique dungeon rotation. Instead of the standard Shadowlands lineup, it used reworked dungeons from past expansions:

  • Return to Karazhan: Lower — Legion
  • Return to Karazhan: Upper — Legion
  • Operation: Mechagon - Junkyard — Battle for Azeroth
  • Operation: Mechagon - Workshop — Battle for Azeroth
  • Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder — Shadowlands
  • Tazavesh: So'leah's Gambit — Shadowlands
  • Grimrail Depot — Warlords of Draenor
  • Iron Docks — Warlords of Draenor

The last two dungeons were chosen by player vote, which made Season Four especially memorable.

All Deathwalkers: The Shadowlands Mount Series

The Restoration Deathwalker is part of a series of four mounts, each awarded for the Keystone Master achievement in the corresponding Shadowlands season. All four models are based on the same death elemental skeleton but differ in color scheme and armor:

Season Mount Coloring
Season 1 Game iconSintouched Deathwalker Blue and silver
Season 2 Game iconSoultwisted Deathwalker Green
Season 3 Game iconWastewarped Deathwalker Red
Season 4 Restoration Deathwalker Purple with gold

All four mounts are Feats of Strength and are no longer obtainable. Collectors who gathered the entire series own one of the rarest mount sets in the game.

Can You Get the Mount Now

No. The Restoration Deathwalker is a reward for a seasonal Feat of Strength tied to a specific time period. After Shadowlands Season Four ended on October 25, 2022, the achievement moved into the category of unobtainable Feats of Strength. Blizzard has not brought back the seasonal Keystone Master mounts in later expansions, and there's no reason to believe that will change.

The mount also does not appear on the Black Market and is not part of the Game iconReins of the Quantum Courser pool.

Alternatives

If you want a mount with a similar Shadowlands death elemental aesthetic, check out the following options:

  • Dark Lord's Deathwalker — drops from Sylvanas Windrunner in the Sanctum of Domination (Tomb of the Eternal Ones raid) on Mythic difficulty. This is the only Shadowlands Deathwalker still available to farm.
  • Current-expansion Keystone Master mounts — if it's the Mythic+ achievement that appeals to you, every season offers its own exclusive reward for a 2000+ rating.

Tips

1

If you own this mount — congratulations. The Restoration Deathwalker is one of the rarest mounts in the game, since Shadowlands Season Four lasted less than three months.

2

Use the mount as part of a Shadowlands-themed look — its purple coloring pairs perfectly with Maldraxxus- and Maw-style transmogs.

3

To track your collection of all four Deathwalkers, use the Simple Armory addon or the collections section on Wowhead.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
