Overview

Смертоносный лик Рионтия

Game iconRionthus's Bladed Visage is a one-handed warglaive of epic quality from the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.1). It is a Demon Hunter weapon with a curved blade and a predatory hilt mounting, styled after the gear of the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible raid. The glaive is named after Rionthus, one of the three dracthyr experiments whose name is carried by the boss that drops it.

Warglaives are wielded in pairs, so a finished Demon Hunter look usually uses two of these blades. The appearance unlocks into your collection when the item drops from the boss, and different raid difficulties grant different color tints of the same model.

Source

The glaive drops in the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible raid — a raid from the Dragonflight expansion.

  • The source is the raid's third boss, "The Forgotten Experiments": the fight is against three dracthyr — Neldris, Thadrion and Rionthus — and the glaive is named after the last of them.
  • The item drops on every difficulty — Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic — and the appearance's tint depends on the chosen difficulty.
  • The item requires level 70 and becomes soulbound on pickup.
  • The raid belongs to a past expansion, so at level 90 you can clear it solo or in a small group for the appearance.
  • A weekly loot lock from the boss applies to each character.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It fits Demon Hunter sets in the dark, demonic and draconic aesthetic of the Aberrus raid.
  • It harmonizes with armor in black-crimson and charcoal palettes thanks to its dark metal and saturated blade.
  • The paired nature of the glaive works well in symmetrical looks where both weapons are identical.
  • It contrasts with light armor — a sharp but striking combination for a "dark" hunter look.

Tips

1

A raid from a past expansion can be soloed at level 90, so farming the appearance does not require a group.

2

"The Forgotten Experiments" is the third boss, and you can reach it quickly without clearing the entire raid.

3

Run different difficulties if you want to collect all four color tints of the appearance.

4

Remember the weekly lock: boss loot is taken once per week on each character.

5

Running multiple characters speeds up collecting tints and the raid's incidental loot.

6

The warglaive is worn in a pair — the collected appearance can be applied to both the main-hand and off-hand weapon.

7

Other Demon Hunter weapon appearances also drop in this same raid, so a run is rarely wasted.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
