Robble's Staff of Herding is a grey two-handed staff added to World of Warcraft alongside the Warlords of Draenor expansion. It is a poor-quality item: its item level scales to current zones, the required character level is 35, and its damage is purely symbolic. The staff carries no combat value whatsoever, so it is interesting solely as a transmog and as part of a long-running Blizzard joke.

The name is a nod to "Robble" — the incoherent muttering of the Hamburglar from the McDonaldland advertising universe, whose "robble robble" became a meme long ago. The developers played on it with an entire series of identical grey staves bearing Robble's name — the staves differ only in their subtitle and drop location, while their model and joke meaning are shared. So this item is a typical "junk" loot prized by collectors of oddities and fans of gathering unusual appearances.

Visually it is a simple wooden pole with a finial, with no glow or effects. The silhouette is restrained, the tone warm and woody — which is why the staff fits the looks of druids, shamans, and herbalists rather than battle mages.

Robble's Staff of Herding drops from the ordinary mob Thunderlord Gronnstalker — a rank-and-file orc in Frostfire Ridge, the starting zone of Warlords of Draenor for the Horde.

• The mob is neither unique nor rare: it appears in groups all across the zone, most often around Wor'gol, near Daggermaw Ravine, and on the Bonecrusher Plains.
• The drop rate is low, like any random grey loot, but thanks to the abundance of mobs the farm goes quickly.
