Overview

Каменный Кулак

Game iconRockfist is a one-handed fist weapon of rare quality, crafted in the shape of a massive battle gauntlet. The model resembles a rough stone-and-steel fist, so the item fits perfectly into "earthen" and dwarven looks. Its swing speed is 2.60, which makes it one of the slowest fist weapons of its level and ideal for striking, heavy animations.

The item dates back to the original game and belongs to the classic era. For a while it was unavailable, but it returned to the game in Dragonflight, so transmog collectors can once again add it to their wardrobe. The weapon becomes soulbound on pickup, so you have to farm its appearance directly on the character who loots it.

Source

Rockfist drops from the golem Phalanx — an elite elemental guarding the Grim Guzzler tavern in the Blackrock Depths dungeon.

  • Phalanx is not hostile by default: to pull him into combat, you need to trigger the event with the drunken dwarf.
  • Buy several servings of Game iconDark Iron Ale Mug from the bartender Plugger Spazzring.
  • Hand the mugs to Private Rocknot: after a few servings he flies into a rage, and Phalanx steps in, smashing down the bar door.
  • The dungeon is designed for a group of five players, but at max level Phalanx is easily farmed solo.
  • The entrance is not locked behind a weekly cap — you can come back for the loot every single day.
  • The weapon is bind-on-pickup with no guaranteed drop, so be ready for several runs.

Who It Suits Visually

  • It goes well with dwarven and plate sets in grey-brown stone — for example, armor themed around the Dark Iron clan.
  • It harmonizes with earth- and elemental-themed looks: the stony texture of the fist reinforces the "earthen" concept.
  • It is available to classes that wield fist weapons: warriors, rogues, shamans, monks, and demon hunters.
  • It contrasts strikingly with light leather armor — a debatable but memorable choice for a rogue.

Tips

1

Stock up on gold in advance: to trigger the event you need to buy several mugs of ale from Plugger Spazzring.

2

The event with Private Rocknot also smashes down the bar door along the way, so you combine transmog farming with progress through the dungeon.

3

The same Phalanx also drops other items: inv_gauntlets_22Fists of Phalanx for plate wearers and inv_shoulder_16Golem Fitted Pauldrons for mail wearers.

4

At max level the dungeon is cleared solo in a couple of minutes, so farming the appearance is convenient on any character.

5

There is no weekly limit — if you get unlucky, just re-enter the dungeon and repeat the event.

6

Since the weapon is soulbound, you need to loot it on the character you want to unlock the appearance for.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
