Overview

Reins of the Rose Riding Crane

Game iconReins of the Rose Riding Crane is an uncommon ground mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2.7 "WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria." It is a bright pink crane with thick plumage and a blue saddle that, according to its in-game description, is easily mistaken for a flamingo or a marabou. The model uses the base riding-crane skeleton from the Mists of Pandaria expansion but with a unique rose-pink coloring.

The mount was sold for 2,200 Bronze by the vendor Hemet Nesingwary XVII at the Infinite Bazaar — the camps of the Infinite Bronze flight that appeared in every Pandaria zone during the seasonal "WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria" event.

Why you want this mount

  • Unique rose coloring — the crane stands out among the rest of the series thanks to its rich pink-red plumage, the only one of its kind on the riding-crane skeleton
  • Speed 10 out of 10 — the mount grants a +60% or +100% movement-speed bonus depending on your riding skill and travels at the maximum ground-mount speed
  • Seasonal-event exclusive — the mount was only available during WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria and is now officially considered limited, so its collector value is very high
  • Account-wide — once obtained, the mount unlocks for every character on your account, regardless of faction or class
  • Part of a set of six Remix cranes — together with it you could collect the full set of new cranes from a single vendor for Bronze

How to obtain

As of Midnight (2026), the mount can no longer be acquired in normal play — the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event ended on August 19, 2024, and the only crane from this series that Blizzard officially brought back is the Game iconReins of the Silver Riding Crane, which was added to the Trading Post in patch 11.1.7 for 325 Trader's Tender.

If the WoW Remix event ever returns in some form, the path to the mount was as follows:

  1. Enter WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria with a dedicated Timerunner character — the event is played on a separate "temporary" Pandaria account
  2. Level the character through the Pandaria zones. Any activity grants the Bronze currency — daily quests, mobs, dungeons, raids, scenarios, events and the quests themselves
  3. Save up at least 2,200 Bronze
  4. Head to any Infinite Bazaar across Pandaria. The camps are located in the Valley of the Four Winds, The Jade Forest, Kun-Lai Summit, Townlong Steppes, Vale of Eternal Blossoms and Dread Wastes
  5. Find the vendor Hemet Nesingwary XVII and buy the Reins of the Rose Riding Crane for 2,200 Bronze
  6. Use the reins — the mount unlocks in your main account's collection after the character is transferred off the Remix server

The WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria crane series

During the Remix event, the vendor Hemet Nesingwary XVII sold six new variants of riding cranes. Each cost 2,200 Bronze, and all of them use the same skeleton with different colorings and saddles. If you are farming the full collection, it is more convenient to close out every crane in a single visit to the bazaar.

Mount ID Cost
Game iconReins of the Gilded Riding Crane 213602 2,200 Bronze
Game iconReins of the Pale Riding Crane 213603 2,200 Bronze
Game iconReins of the Tropical Riding Crane 213604 2,200 Bronze
Reins of the Rose Riding Crane 213605 2,200 Bronze
Game iconReins of the Silver Riding Crane 213606 2,200 Bronze
Game iconReins of the Luxurious Riding Crane 213607 2,200 Bronze

In addition to these six Remix exclusives, the classic cranes remain available in the base game from the vendor Jaluu the Generous with Golden Lotus reputation — the Game iconAzure, Game iconGolden and Game iconRegal variants.

Where to find Hemet Nesingwary XVII

Hemet Nesingwary XVII is a dwarf hunter who set up camp in every Infinite Bazaar on the continent. Each Pandaria zone has its own spot with an identical stock, so it does not matter which one you reach.

  • The Jade Forest — near the Jade Serpent foothills
  • Valley of the Four Winds — close to the brewmaster settlements
  • Townlong Steppes — at the foot of the Shado-Pan
  • Kun-Lai Summit — by the Shado-Pan Monastery
  • Vale of Eternal Blossoms — the main Remix hub
  • Dread Wastes — for the end of the campaign

There was no camp in the Krasarang Wilds — it is the only Pandaria zone without an Infinite Bazaar.

How to farm Bronze

Bronze is the main currency of the Remix event. It bought every mount, pet, toy, transmog set and gear-rarity upgrade. For a single crane it is enough to gather 2,200 Bronze, but if you want the full set of six you will need 13,200 Bronze.

The fastest sources of Bronze

  1. Pandaria dungeons and scenarios — a full clear of a heroic dungeon dropped 700–1,000 Bronze plus time trophies that convert into Bronze
  2. Mists of Pandaria raids in Remix mode — the most efficient farm. A single full run brought 8,000–15,000 Bronze along with extra rewards
  3. Daily Pandaria scenarios — short 15–30 minute tasks with guaranteed Bronze and a chance at epic trophies
  4. Open-world bosses — for example, Sha of Anger, Galleon and other weekly bosses each handed out 1,000 Bronze
  5. Achievements — for completing Pandaria achievement collections, Remix awarded Bronze packages
  6. Turning in unused gear — broken threads of Bronze from your inventory gave a small refund

Daily target for a single crane

With moderate play of 1–2 hours a day, one heroic raid once a week plus a couple of dailies easily covered the cost of a single crane in one evening. If you logged into WoW Remix regularly, the full set of six cranes (13,200 Bronze) took about a week of active play.

Alternative paths in the future

If you missed the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event and did not manage to buy the rose crane, limited prospects remain:

  • A return via the Trading Post — Blizzard has already demonstrated this possibility with the Reins of the Silver Riding Crane, which returned to the Trading Post in patch 11.1.7 for 325 Trader's Tender. In theory, the rest of the series could also return one by one in future monthly rotations
  • A repeat Remix season — Blizzard announced a series of Remix events (after Mists of Pandaria came Remix: Legion). A full return of the Mists of Pandaria event is not currently confirmed, but it is not ruled out
  • Epic conversions — some seasonal mounts have in the past been re-released as rewards for anniversary events or collector's bundles

For now, only players who obtained it in 2024 can add the mount to their collection.

Tips

1

Close out every crane in one trip — if you find yourself in Remix with saved-up Bronze, buy the full series of six variants at once instead of stretching out your visits to the vendor. This saves time and lowers the risk of missing a variant

2

Focus on Remix raids — raid runs give the most Bronze per hour played

3

Don't equip spare threads of Bronze — threads can be turned in to vendors directly for currency rather than used as a gear upgrade, if collecting mounts is your priority

4

Keep an eye on the Trading Post — after the Silver Riding Crane returned in patch 11.1.7, it is worth checking the monthly Trading Post rotations: the remaining five cranes will likely show up there in upcoming patches

5

The mount is visible to all characters — once obtained, the Reins of the Rose Riding Crane appear in the mount collection on every character on the account with no faction or class restrictions

6

Don't confuse it with the crimson crane — the original ability_mount_cranemountReins of the Crimson Riding Crane was datamined back in Mists of Pandaria but never made it into the game. It is a different mount, unrelated to the rose crane from Remix

7

Keep your Remix character — even after the event, a Remix account can be useful for confirming collections. The mount stays permanently collected on the main account regardless

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
