According to its flavor text, the scepter is broken and worn by time, yet the royal seal of Lordaeron is still discernible on it — a reference to Terenas Menethil II, the fallen king of Lordaeron.

The weapon suits any specialization that uses one-handed maces: priests, paladins, shamans, and druids. For transmogrification its stats do not matter — once bound, the item unlocks its appearance for the wardrobe and becomes available to any class that can use one-handed maces.

• The scepter drops in 25-player Heroic mode with a chance of about 19%, so it is more convenient to chase the appearance in that version of the raid.
• There is also a Normal version of the item with the same appearance, but with a noticeably lower drop chance (around 3%).
• The limit is one attempt per week per character: the raid resets weekly, so the farm drags on if the appearance does not drop on the first run.
• The raid can be completed solo on any class at the current level — the Lich King has long since ceased to be a threat.
