Overview

Ruby Void Creeper

Game iconRuby Void Creeper is an epic ground mount added in patch 11.2 "Ghosts of K'aresh" of The War Within expansion. It is a large insectoid void creature captured by the K'aresh Trust faction for study and later repurposed as a mount. The mount is purchased from Om'sirik, the K'aresh Trust quartermaster, in Tazavesh, the Veiled Market for 8,125 g at Renown rank 15 with the K'aresh Trust faction.

Why You Want This Mount

  • Guaranteed acquisition — the Ruby Void Creeper is bought from a vendor, not dropped at a percentage chance. Reach the required Renown rank, save up the currency, and the mount is yours
  • Unique void model — void creepers are among the most unusual mounts in the game. The ruby coloring stands out against the familiar dark-purple tones of void content
  • Available to all characters — once purchased, the mount becomes available to every character on the account
  • Patch 11.2 content — the mount is tied to current The War Within content, making it accessible through regular play in the current season
  • No reliance on luck — unlike drops from rare enemies or dungeons, you know exactly how many resources you need to gather

How to Obtain

To purchase the mount you must meet three requirements: unlock access to K'aresh, reach Renown rank 15 with the K'aresh Trust, and accumulate 8,125 resonance crystals.

  1. Log in on a level 80 character after patch 11.2 launches. You will automatically receive the quest "A Mysterious Invitation," which directs you to the Wandering Locus in the Hall of the Foundation in Dornogal
  2. Complete the introductory quest chain "Return to the Veiled Market," which unlocks access to the K'aresh zone and the portal to Tazavesh
  3. Finish the "Ghosts of K'aresh" campaign to unlock world quests and weekly activities in the zone
  4. Build up Renown with the K'aresh Trust to rank 15 (37,500 reputation points in total, 2,500 per rank)
  5. Accumulate 8,125 resonance crystals
  6. Head to Om'sirik in Tazavesh, the Veiled Market and buy the Game iconRuby Void Creeper
  7. Use the item to learn the mount — it will immediately appear in the collection of all your characters

How to Reach K'aresh and Tazavesh

K'aresh is the shattered homeworld of the ethereals and the brokers, opened to players in patch 11.2. Tazavesh, the Veiled Market serves as the zone's main hub.

  3. Follow the quest chain "Return to the Veiled Market" — you will be transported to Tazavesh
  4. Complete the introductory quest line on K'aresh

Once the zone is unlocked, a permanent portal appears in Dornogal:

  1. Find the portal to the left of the Stormwind portal in Dornogal (coordinates 40.3, 22.7)
  2. Use it for instant travel to Tazavesh
  3. To return, use the large portal in the southern part of Tazavesh (62.1, 92.9)

Building Renown with the K'aresh Trust

To reach Renown rank 15 you must earn 37,500 reputation points (2,500 points per rank). The main sources are listed below.

The "Ghosts of K'aresh" Campaign (main early source)

Completing the story campaign grants a significant one-time reputation bonus and unlocks weekly activities. Finish the campaign first.

World Quests

K'aresh world quests appear regularly and award reputation with the K'aresh Trust. Complete all available quests every time you log in.

Weekly Quests

  • Tazavesh Writs — weekly quests from Constable Zo'ardaz, available from Renown rank 3
  • Weekly Dungeon Quest — pick up the weekly dungeon token in Dornogal; it grants 1,500 reputation points
  • Ecological Reclamation Weekly Quest — a world quest with an increased reward
  • Bountiful Delve Chest — a token for completing a delve

Rare Enemies

Killing rare mobs on K'aresh rewards reputation points. The enemies are marked with stars on the map and appear regularly.

K'aresh Contract

Use the K'aresh Trust contract to earn extra reputation points when completing any world quests across Khaz Algar.

Farming Resonance Crystals

Resonance crystals are a The War Within currency used to purchase rewards from Renown quartermasters. To buy the Ruby Void Creeper you need 8,125 crystals.

Main Sources

  • Renown rank rewards — as you increase Renown ranks you receive pouches of resonance crystals (the "Crystalline Clarity I/II/III/IV" rewards at ranks 5, 8, 13, and 18)
  • Cyrce's Circuit races — a gold completion of the time trial races in Khaz Algar grants 95 to 155 crystals for the first gold completion of each race. Each zone contains six races in standard, reverse, and advanced modes
  • Delves — a reliable source of crystals with rewards that scale as the difficulty tier increases, up to 5,000 crystals
  • Currency exchange — an NPC in Azj-Kahet exchanges Kej for resonance crystals at a 2:1 rate (packs of 200 and 2,000 crystals)
  • Rare enemies — killing rare mobs in the Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, and the Isle of Dorn
  • Open-world orbs — gather glowing orbs while flying across the Khaz Algar zones (1 crystal per orb)
  • Quests and exploration — quests, treasures, and dungeon exploration

Optimal Strategy

The Cyrce's Circuit races grant the most crystals for the time invested. Complete every race for gold on each character — the crystals are a warband currency and are shared among all your characters.

Farming Optimization

Daily Plan

  1. Check the available world quests on K'aresh — complete them all for reputation
  2. Kill the available rare enemies — they are marked with stars on the map
  3. Gather treasures and complete side events in the zone
  4. Run a delve for resonance crystals and the weekly quest token
  5. Fly across the Khaz Algar zones gathering glowing crystal orbs

Weekly Plan

  1. Complete the Tazavesh Writs from Constable Zo'ardaz
  2. Finish the weekly dungeon quest from Dornogal (1,500 reputation)
  3. Run the Cyrce's Circuit races for gold on all characters
  4. Complete a bountiful delve for the token

How Long It Will Take

With active progression, completing all weekly and daily quests, reaching Renown rank 15 takes roughly 3–4 weeks. In parallel you will accumulate resonance crystals, and by the time you reach the required rank you will most likely already have enough currency to buy it.

Tips

1

Start with the campaign — complete the main "Ghosts of K'aresh" story line first. It grants a large one-time reputation bonus and unlocks all the weekly activities

2

Activate the contract — the K'aresh Trust contract adds reputation points for completing any world quests in Khaz Algar, not just on K'aresh. This speeds up progression considerably

3

Use all your characters — resonance crystals are bound to the warband, so you can farm them on multiple characters. The Cyrce's Circuit races are especially efficient for multi-character farming

4

Flying is available immediately — you can fly on K'aresh from the moment the zone unlocks, which greatly speeds up world quests and rare kills

5

Check world quests several times a day — they refresh regularly, and you may miss available quests if you log in only once

6

Don't forget the Kej exchange — if you actively play Azj-Kahet content, trade surplus Kej for resonance crystals at the exchange NPC

7

Other color variants — if you like the void creeper model, check out the Acidic Void Creeper (yellow) and the Bone Frostweaver (blue), which are also sold by Om'sirik at higher Renown ranks
