Runeblade of the Maldraxxus Paragon — Transmog Set Guide

Runeblade of the Maldraxxus Paragon is not a weapon but a transmog illusion, meaning a decorative effect that is layered over any one-handed sword or dagger. Visually, the illusion turns the blade into a sinister bone weapon in the Maldraxxus style: dark metal with a greenish necrotic glow and runes showing along its edge. It is a direct nod to the aesthetic of death knights and necrolords from the Shadowlands expansion.

Mechanically the item works as a cosmetic: once learned, it adds the illusion to your warband collection, after which you can apply it to weapons in the transmogrification window without spending the item again. The binding is account-wide, so the illusion is immediately available to every character on your account.

The illusion is sold by a vendor during the seasonal event "Timewalking: Shadowlands" — the weeks when Shadowlands dungeons become available to run in Timewalking mode.

• The vendor is Collector Ta'steld, who appears in the Shadowlands capital, Oribos.
• You can find him in the Ring of Fates, near the Hall of Curiosities, at roughly the coordinates /way #1670 56 63.
• The purchase currency is the Timewarped Badge. These badges are awarded for killing bosses in Timewalking dungeons and for the event's weekly quest.
• The vendor only operates during an active Shadowlands Timewalking week. At other times, Collector Ta'steld is not present in Oribos and the illusion cannot be bought — you will have to wait for the next rotation of the event.

Badges do not expire between the weeks of different expansions, so it is convenient to stockpile them in advance: by the start of the week you want, you will already have a reserve for several rewards at once.

This illusion has no known color variants or recolors — it exists in a single version and is sold only by the vendor noted above.

If you specifically want a "bone" greenish silhouette without an applied illusion, take a look at the weapon models themselves from the Maldraxxus dungeons in Shadowlands: many blades from there give a similar necrotic look through the model alone, without a separate illusion. Dark runes on death knight weapons also produce a comparable glow.

• It harmonizes with death knight plate sets and the Necrolord covenant armor from Maldraxxus thanks to the shared bone texture and green glow.
• It looks striking on bright paladin or priest sets — the grim blade sets up a "dark hero" look in light armor.
