Savage Green Battle Turtle

Savage Green Battle Turtle is an epic aquatic mount added to World of Warcraft in the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.0.7). It is a massive green turtle clad in Horde armor with cannons on its shell, inspired by the giant sea turtles from Warcraft II.

The mount was the Trading Post's monthly reward for May 2023 — it was earned by players who fully filled the Traveler's Log bar to 1000 points during the month.

For now, the mount is temporarily unavailable, but according to Blizzard it will return — either as a repeat reward for filling the Traveler's Log, or as a direct purchase for Trader's Tender.

• Unique aquatic mount — swims significantly faster than standard mounts, which is useful in long underwater zones like Nazjatar or the Dragon Isles coast
• Rare model with cannons — the only battle turtle styled as a Horde ship with cannons on its shell. Easily recognizable and stands out among other aquatic mounts
• Seasonal exclusivity — the mount was available only in May 2023, making it a marker of active players from that period
• Account-wide — once obtained, the mount automatically unlocks for all characters on your account regardless of faction and class
• One of four color variants — the collection also includes similar mounts in other colors. The green version is the first to appear in the Trading Post

The main and only way to obtain the mount is filling the Traveler's Log to 1000 points in May 2023. Players who missed claiming the reward during that period will be able to get it when the item reappears in the Trading Post rotation.

1. Log into the game during the relevant month of Trading Post activity
2. Visit the Trading Post — for the Alliance it is located in Stormwind by the Mage Quarter, for the Horde in Orgrimmar near Grommash Hold
3. Open the Traveler's Log through the Adventure Guide (Shift+J)
4. Complete monthly activities, filling the bar. Activities include quests, raid bosses, pet battles, achievements, and even simple actions like emotes
5. Reach the 1000-point mark on the bar. The final reward will appear in the Collector's Cache near the Trading Post
6. Claim Savage Green Battle Turtle from the Collector's Cache and use it to add the mount to your collection

The Trading Post is a monthly reward system added in patch 10.0.5 in February 2023. The main currency is Trader's Tender, which refreshes every month.

The monthly limit is 1000 coins per account, and the remainder carries over to the next month without expiring.

In May 2023, the final reward for 1000 points was the Savage Green Battle Turtle itself. To fill the bar, players completed combinations of 6–12 tasks of varying difficulty.

1. Open the Adventure Guide (Shift+J) and go to the Traveler's Log tab
2. Review the month's list of activities. Some are simple (complete 3 quests, win a battleground), some harder (clear a heroic raid, win an arena)
3. Pick the ones most accessible for your level and play style — you don't have to close out the whole list, getting 1000 points is enough
4. Complete activities gradually over the month. The bar updates immediately after progress is counted
5. Upon reaching 1000 points, return to the Collector's Cache and claim all accumulated rewards, including the mount

Trading Post Location

• Alliance — Stormwind, near the Mage Quarter, coordinates 51.3, 72.4.
• Horde — Orgrimmar, near Grommash Hold, coordinates 48.4, 75.7.

Savage Green Battle Turtle is flagged as "Temporarily Unavailable." Blizzard has confirmed that exclusive Trading Post mounts will return to the rotation after a certain time. Possible return scenarios:

• Repeat Traveler's Log reward — the mount may again become the reward for 1000 points in one of the future months
• Direct purchase for coins — an option where the item appears in the Trading Post's goods list and is bought for Trader's Tender
• Surprise return — Blizzard announces the return a few days before the mount appears
