Scalding Queenmaker's Shiv is a one-handed dagger of rare quality from The War Within expansion. This is a caster weapon with stats geared toward spellcasters: intellect, stamina, critical strike and mastery, so it shows up in the loadouts of mages, priests, warlocks and other classes that wield a staff or a dagger in the main hand.

The model is built in the "earthen" aesthetic of the Khaz Algar dungeons: a short blade with a warm copper-amber sheen and a faceted hilt. The silhouette is compact, without flashy spikes, so the dagger fits calm, "artisan" looks well. The item's icon is inv_knife_1h_earthendungeon_c_02.

In the transmog collection it is the appearance of the model that counts, not the item itself, so after the first acquisition the appearance is unlocked for the entire account.

The dagger drops in the Cinderbrew Meadery dungeon — a The War Within location on the Isle of Dorn in Khaz Algar. The dungeon is themed around a meadery: here they brew mead, harvest honey and keep hives, hence the warm "amber" palette of all the loot.

The specific drop source is the dungeon's final boss, Goldie Baronbottom. The brisk entrepreneur has taken over the meadery and guards the most valuable supplies, including this dagger.

• The dungeon is available in Normal, Heroic and Mythic modes, as well as a Mythic+ key.
• The dagger drops from Goldie Baronbottom's chest when the fight ends — there is no "once a week" lockout on the drop, you can re-run it every day.
• In Normal and Heroic modes the entrance is opened through the Dungeon Finder; Mythic mode and keys are assembled manually.
• The item level of the dropped dagger depends on the run difficulty and the level of the Mythic key, but the transmog appearance is identical on any difficulty.
• The dungeon entrance is in the eastern part of the Isle of Dorn, with the nearest flight point right beside it. Command to place a map marker: /way 75.9 44.6 Cinderbrew Meadery.

Parson's Ornamented Blade uses the same 3D model but is colored differently and suits rogues and other agility classes. If you specifically want the "caster" intellect variant — that's the Scalding Queenmaker's Shiv itself. If you want the agility variant — take Parson's blade.
