Overview

Scarlet Kris is a one-handed dagger of rare quality that first appeared back in the original World of Warcraft. It is a compact blade with a distinctive wavy edge: this very shape is what weapon jargon calls a "kris." Its warm reddish-steel coloring and short blade make it a recognizable model for anyone building a look in the spirit of the early dungeons of the Eastern Kingdoms.

Scarlet Kris is a world drop. It has no single fixed boss or dungeon: the dagger drops from ordinary mobs of the classic level range all across Azeroth. Historically the item is tied to enemies of level 57–63, so it is worth hunting in zones and dungeons of the corresponding era.

Farming notes:

The drop chance from a world drop is extremely low — you cannot count on a quick result, and farming may take many hours.
The higher the density of suitable mobs, the faster the farm. Old dungeons of classic Azeroth with a large number of enemies of the right level are convenient.
Since the item only binds on equip, you can find it on the auction house. Buying from other players is often faster and cheaper than a lengthy farm.
The dagger also falls into the shared loot tables of some classic-era world bosses — for example, Azuregos. This is not a separate reliable source, but merely a consequence of the item being part of the general world-drop pool.

The optimal strategy for a collector: check the auction house on your realm, while in parallel clearing classic dungeons on a high-level character, where mobs die quickly and you can maintain a high kill pace.

Who it suits visually

Looks in the spirit of the early dungeons of the Eastern Kingdoms — the short blade and restrained steel look great next to classic low-level armor sets.
Characters in light armor: the compact dagger does not overload the silhouette and does not clash with light cloth and leather.
Builds in a reddish-steel palette — the dagger harmonizes with gear that has warm metallic or burgundy accents.
Paired sets: thanks to its small size, two such blades in a rogue's hands look neat and do not stand out from the overall composition.
Minimalist looks without flashy effects — the model has no glow or animations, relying purely on clean shape.

If the reddish tint of the model matters to you, do not confuse Scarlet Kris with daggers similar in shape but cold in color — their coloring differs noticeably.
