Scepter of Radiant Magics — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Scepter of Radiant Magics is an epic wand from The War Within expansion. It is a ranged weapon for intellect classes: mages, priests, warlocks and other spellcasters. Visually, it is a bright "magical" wand with a glowing head, styled around enchanting and arcane energy.
The item's main feature is that it does not drop from bosses but is made by a crafter. This makes the Scepter of Radiant Magics an accessible transmog for anyone who has leveled the right profession or knows a crafter.
Source
The wand is a crafted item, not a drop from dungeons or raids.
- The weapon is crafted with the Enchanting profession.
- The recipe is unlocked not by purchase but by investing points into the profession specialization, so the crafter needs a developed combat crafting branch.
- Crafting requires Enchanting materials — radiant shards and gleaming crystals of The War Within, as well as a spark from the crafting profession chain.
- The finished wand becomes soulbound on acquisition: to get it from another player, place an order through the crafting orders system.
- Since the source is crafting, you can obtain the appearance at any time, without being tied to a raid lockout or a seasonal event.
Visual Appeal
- The bright arcane design suits mages and other "magic"-themed spellcasters.
- It pairs well with sets in white-blue and golden tones that reinforce a sorcerer's image.
- It looks great alongside a tome or shield in the other hand — perfect for scholar-wizard looks.
- It contrasts with the dark "shadow" sets of warlocks and Shadow priests — a debatable but striking choice.
- The wand's compact silhouette does not overload the look, so it fits restrained "academic" builds.
Tips
If you do not have Enchanting, order the wand through the crafting orders system from a player with the right specialization.
Gather the reagents in advance: radiant shards and gleaming crystals of The War Within plus a spark from the crafting chain.
Check with the crafter that they have unlocked the combat crafting branch in Enchanting — without it the recipe is unavailable.
Since the finished wand is soulbound, to unlock the appearance it must be received by exactly the character who needs the transmog.
Once the item lands in your bag, the appearance is added to the entire account's collection, so you do not need to craft the wand again.
The quality rank does not affect the appearance — for transmog the cheapest variant to craft is enough.
