Shale Ramolith

Shale Ramolith is an epic ground mount added in patch 11.0.2 of the The War Within expansion. It is a massive ramolith with a dark blue coat, copper horns, and a copper saddle — a loyal beast of burden of the earthen, who have used them since ancient times for their endurance. Shale ramoliths are considered friendlier than other varieties, though that doesn't mean much.

The mount is purchased from Auditor Balwurz in the Hall of the Founders in Dornogal for 8,125 resonance crystals at renown level 18 with the Council of Dornogal faction.

• Guaranteed acquisition — unlike mounts with a percentage drop chance, the Shale Ramolith is bought from a vendor. Once you reach the required renown and save up the crystals, you are guaranteed to get the mount
• Unique earthen model — ramoliths are the racial mounts of the earthen. The Shale Ramolith has a distinctive dark blue coat that sets it apart from other color variants

To buy the mount, you must meet two conditions: reach renown level 18 with the Council of Dornogal and accumulate 8,125 resonance crystals.

1. Begin the main The War Within story campaign on the Isle of Dorn — this unlocks world quests and the renown system with the Council of Dornogal
2. Raise your renown with the Council of Dornogal to level 18 (each level requires 2,500 reputation points to advance)
3. Accumulate 8,125 resonance crystals — they are awarded for reaching certain renown levels
4. Head to the Hall of the Founders in Dornogal and find Auditor Balwurz
5. Purchase the Shale Ramolith and use the item to learn the mount

Auditor Balwurz is the quartermaster of the Council of Dornogal faction, located in the Hall of the Founders in Dornogal.

1. Get to Dornogal — use your hearthstone if it is bound to this city, or take a portal from your faction's capital
2. Find the Hall of the Founders — it is the main building in the center of Dornogal where the council sits
3. Inside the hall, walk to the platform behind the council's thrones — that is exactly where Auditor Balwurz stands

• Side quest chains — additional quest lines on the Isle of Dorn reward reputation points
• Treasures — collecting treasures and rare items on the Isle of Dorn
• Lore notes — finding notes and books on the Isle of Dorn

Weekly Sources (Main Recurring Income)

• World quests — complete world quests on the Isle of Dorn tied to the Council of Dornogal. Reputation is awarded once per week per account
• Weekly dungeon quest — completing the weekly dungeon-clearing quest rewards reputation points
• Theater Troupe — participate in the Theater Troupe world event on the Isle of Dorn
• Rare enemies — killing rare mobs on the Isle of Dorn grants reputation once per day per account
• Brann's Weekly Choice — the NPC Brann offers a weekly quest that lets you choose 1,500 reputation points with one of the The War Within factions. Direct this reward toward the Council of Dornogal

Contract: Council of Dornogal

Buy a Contract: Council of Dornogal at the auction house or order one from a scribe. With an active contract, you gain extra reputation points for completing any world quests in Khaz Algar. This is a passive bonus that stacks with the other sources.

Resonance crystals are a currency awarded for reaching certain renown levels with the Council of Dornogal. You don't farm them separately — they are granted automatically as you progress.

Crystal Rewards by Renown Level

By the time you reach renown 18, you will have accumulated a total of 2,750 resonance crystals from level rewards alone. The remaining crystals can be obtained from other reputation rewards and world quests. Keep raising your renown above 18 — at levels 20 and 24 you will receive another 1,000 crystals each.

Weekly Plan

1. Check the available Council of Dornogal world quests on the Isle of Dorn and complete them
2. Finish the weekly dungeon-clearing quest
3. Complete Brann's quest, choosing the Council of Dornogal as the reputation faction
4. Take part in the Theater Troupe event if it is active
5. Kill the available rare enemies on the Isle of Dorn
6. Make sure you have an active Contract: Council of Dornogal so you passively gain reputation from any world quests

How Long It Will Take

With active progress, completing all available weekly sources, reaching renown 18 takes roughly 3–5 weeks. The main story campaign and side quests give a substantial initial boost, after which progress depends on weekly activities.

Tips for Speeding Things Up

• Don't skip Brann — 1,500 reputation per week of your choice is too valuable a source to ignore
• The contract is a must — passive reputation from every world quest in Khaz Algar adds up to a significant amount over a week
• Combine with other content — killing rare mobs and collecting treasures on the Isle of Dorn is useful not only for reputation but also for gear and material drops
