Shattered Voidspire — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Shattered Voidspire is a cosmetic two-handed staff added to World of Warcraft alongside the Trading Post in the Dragonflight expansion (patch 10.0.5). The model features a massive head of shattered obsidian plates wreathed in the purple-crimson energy of the Void, set atop a twisted shaft of dark metal. In silhouette it is a direct recolor of the raid staff Edict of Argus — the same geometry, but in cold Void tones instead of hellish green.
The staff is account-bound, has no combat stats, and exists purely as a transmog appearance. Once purchased, it is permanently added to your appearance collection and becomes available to every character on the account.
Source
The appearance is sold at the Trading Post — the monthly cosmetic shop available across all current expansions. This is a purchase with an in-game currency, not a boss drop.
- The price is 500 Trader's Tender.
- The selection featuring this staff first appeared in February 2023, in the very first Trading Post rotation.
- Trader's Tender is earned simply by logging in and by completing tasks from the Traveler's Log; the base monthly supply is around 1000 Tender.
- The Trading Post operates in Stormwind and in Orgrimmar; the currency is shared across the entire account.
- The Trading Post inventory changes every month, so a specific item showing up for sale is not guaranteed — unclaimed entries go into a "frozen" list and may return in future rotations.
If the staff isn't on display in the current month, expect it in one of the upcoming rotations — the Trading Post periodically repeats previously offered appearances.
Who it suits visually
- Suits mages, warlocks, and priests in sets with a Void or Shadow theme — the purple glow echoes the effects of the Shadow school.
- Harmonizes with dark plate and mail sets in a black-and-purple palette — for example, with appearances from Shadowlands dungeons and raids.
- Stands out against light cloth robes: the staff becomes the single dark accent of the outfit.
- Pairs well with Void and Old God themes thanks to the obsidian texture of the head.
Tips
The appearance can't be obtained any other way than through the Trading Post, so stockpile Trader's Tender in advance to make sure you can buy it in the right month.
Close out the monthly tasks from the Traveler's Log — that's the main source of Tender beyond the base login allotment.
If the staff isn't in the current display, check the "frozen" order list — that's where unclaimed items land, and you can reserve them for return.
To get the visually identical green version, farm Edict of Argus in Hellfire Citadel: the raid can be soloed at the current level.
The staff is account-bound, so buying it once is enough — the appearance unlocks for all of your characters.
When trying it on, keep in mind that this model has a large head, and sheathed on the back it takes up a lot of space — check how it combines with a cloak and shoulders.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
