Shivering Felspine — Transmog Set Guide

Shivering Felspine is an epic two-handed polearm (a halberd) from The Burning Crusade expansion. Visually it is a massive blade of greenish fel metal on a dark haft: a broad head with a serrated edge and the distinctive poison-green glow that betrays its Sunwell origin. The model reads well from a distance and gives the character's silhouette an aggressive, "demonic" look.

Shivering Felspine drops from guardian minions in the Sunwell Plateau raid — the final raid of The Burning Crusade, located on the Isle of Quel'Danas. It is trash loot rather than a named-boss drop: the main source is the Shadowsword Commander and other elite Shadowsword humanoids patrolling the raid's corridors.

• The halberd drops only from regular guardian mobs, so you can farm it repeatedly without having to kill the bosses.
• The drop chance is low — around 2–4 % per suitable mob, so plan on several runs.
• The raid is many expansions out of date and can be soloed by virtually any character of level 60+ with no trouble from the mechanics.
• Trash in Sunwell Plateau is not tied to the weekly lockout the way bosses are — you can clear the mobs on every run into the raid.

The easiest way to reach the raid is through a capital city's portal room or by flying to the Isle of Quel'Danas; the raid entrance is in the northern part of the island.
