Sickle of the White Stag — Transmog Set Guide

Sickle of the White Stag is an epic one-handed dagger added to World of Warcraft in the Dragonflight expansion with patch 10.2.0, alongside the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope raid. It is a dagger aimed at intellect-using classes: priests, mages, warlocks, shamans, druids and evokers.

The blade is steeped in the natural aesthetic of the Emerald Dream: the curved edge resembles a harvesting sickle, the hilt is wrapped in bark and slender branches, and the pale bone fittings evoke the antlers of the white stag that gave the item its name. The warm beige-green palette makes the dagger a striking addition to sets built around the themes of forest, druidism and the Emerald Dream.

In terms of stats, the dagger has long been irrelevant for combat use — this is Dragonflight expansion content left several expansions behind. Today the Sickle of the White Stag is of interest purely as a transmog: the appearance unlocks upon obtaining the item, after which it can be applied to any one-handed dagger.

The dagger drops in the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope raid — the third raid of the Dragonflight expansion, located in the Emerald Dream.

The loot source is the Council of Dreams encounter, a fight against three bosses at once who share a common health pool and a common loot table. The council consists of the werebear Urctos, the dryad Aerwynn and the faerie dragon Pip. Loot is granted after defeating all three; none of them has a separate loot table.

Key farming details:

• The dagger is available on all raid difficulties: Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic.
• The item level depends on the difficulty: 444 on Raid Finder, 457 on Normal, 470 on Heroic and 483 on Mythic. For transmog the item level does not matter — the appearance unlocks from any version.
• The Council of Dreams is the fourth fight of the raid, so you can reach it fairly quickly after clearing the three previous encounters.
• You can receive loot from this fight once per week per character, so with bad luck the farm stretches across several weeks.
• The appearance unlocks in your appearance collection as soon as the item is obtained by any class, even one that cannot wield a dagger in combat.

For players with a current-content character, the raid can be soloed on any class — Dragonflight expansion bosses have long ceased to be a threat. This makes the Sickle of the White Stag one of the easiest Emerald Dream-themed daggers to obtain.

This dagger has no color variants as separate items: there is only one appearance. However, the same Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope raid contains two more one-handed daggers with a similar raid styling — they can help assemble a paired set or pick a dagger for a different specialization.

The Cruel Dreamcarver uses the same sickle-shaped silhouette as the Sickle of the White Stag but is rendered in a darker palette — it is the closest "related" appearance, essentially a recolor of the same model. Betrayer's Cinderblade is another dagger from Amirdrassil, made on a different model but within the same artistic line of the raid. If you specifically want the "white stag" variant with its light bone palette, you should farm the Sickle of the White Stag itself — it has no exact analogue.

• It suits druidic sets with an Emerald Dream theme — the warm beige-green palette echoes the armor from the Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope raid.
• It harmonizes with linen and leather sets in natural shades: the beige, olive and woody-brown tones of the bone hilt do not clash with such ensembles.
• The antler-shaped bone fittings make the dagger a good choice for looks built around hunting, forest and beasts — for example, themed sets for rangers and grove keepers.
• It contrasts with dark demonic or undead armor: a light, natural blade looks questionable against such a backdrop, but can become a bright accent.
• Paired with the second dagger from the same raid, it gives a cohesive "raid" look for specializations that wield two blades.
