Get Reins of the Silver Riding Crane mount
Overview

Reins of the Silver Riding Crane is a ground mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.2.7 as part of the limited-time "Mists of Pandaria Remix" event mode. It is a tall riding crane with silver-grey plumage, visually sitting between the bronze and gold versions of the cycle. The description notes: "more graceful than the bronze crane, but a step below the gold."
The mount is sold for 2,200 Bronze by the vendor Hemet Nesingwary XVII at the Infinite Bazaar — the camps of the Infinite Bronze Flight that appeared across all Pandaria zones during the seasonal "WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria" event. In patch 11.1.7 (The War Within), Blizzard returned the mount to permanent rotation through the Trading Post, where it can be purchased for 325 Trader's Tender. It is the first Pandaria Remix mount to be carried over to the Trading Post.
Why you want this mount
- Returned to the game — after Pandaria Remix closed in August 2024, the mount was flagged as unavailable. Its appearance on the Trading Post gives a second chance to players who missed the original event
- Completes the riding crane collection — the silver version connects the cycle of four classic cranes, creating a full gradient from bronze to gold
- 10 out of 10 speed — the ground mount gains a +60% or +100% movement speed bonus depending on your riding skill
- Account-wide — once obtained, the mount unlocks on every character on your account regardless of faction or class
- Low cost in Trader's Tender — 325 Tender is less than two thirds of the 1,000 Tender monthly allowance from the Traveler's Log, so the mount takes one to two months of relaxed play
- Trading Post exclusive — each Trading Post rotation lasts one calendar month, and the mount may drop out of the lineup until its next return
How to obtain it
Since patch 11.1.7, the only active method of obtaining it is the Trading Post in the Alliance and Horde capitals. The original Pandaria Remix Bronze route is no longer available.
- Accumulate at least 325 Trader's Tender on your account. Tender is awarded for completing the monthly Traveler's Log (up to 500 per month), for logging into the Trading Post system (500 for the first month), and from the "Trader's Cache" chest
- Wait for a month when the Reins of the Silver Riding Crane appears in the current Trading Post lineup. The rotation list refreshes on the first day of each month
- Head to the Trading Post vendor: in Stormwind it is located by the Mage Quarter near the Stockade (Alliance), or in Orgrimmar by the Valley of Honor (Horde)
- Open the Trading Post interface and find the mount in the catalog
- Confirm the purchase for 325 Trader's Tender. The mount instantly appears in your account collection
Where the mount was previously sold
In the original Pandaria Remix event, Hemet Nesingwary XVII roamed the Infinite Bazaars located across all key Pandaria zones. This information is useful for understanding the mount's history and will help if Blizzard ever reopens Pandaria Remix.
| Zone | Infinite Bazaar coordinates |
|---|---|
| The Jade Forest | 41.5 / 26.8 |
| Valley of the Four Winds | 53.5 / 50.8 |
| Kun-Lai Summit | 68.5 / 52.8 |
| Townlong Steppes | 38.2 / 64.2 |
| Dread Wastes | 41.9 / 18.4 |
| Vale of Eternal Blossoms (Alliance) | 86.1 / 64.9 |
| Vale of Eternal Blossoms (Horde) | 60.4 / 18.1 |
Hemet Nesingwary XVII's stock held more than 30 mounts — from event cranes to rare collectibles from the original Mists of Pandaria. Prices ranged from 2,200 to 38,500 Bronze.

Earning Trader's Tender
Trader's Tender is granted to your entire roster of characters and spent from a shared pool. To gather the 325 Trader's Tender for the mount faster, complete as many Traveler's Log activities as possible.
- Open the Traveler's Log in the Trading Post interface — it contains roughly 12–15 tasks each month
- Complete the tasks: killing mobs, clearing dungeons and raids, running battlegrounds, gathering resources
- Each task fills the progress bar. A full bar for the month grants 500 Trader's Tender
- Additionally, collect the trader's cache from the Trading Post NPC — it grants 50 to 100 Tender
- Do not miss the monthly reset — incomplete tasks do not carry over
Efficient tasks
- Dungeons and raids — group tasks grant several progress points at once. Once a month you usually need one Heroic dungeon clear and one raid (of any group size)
- PvP tasks — short battleground or arena runs close several percent of the bar at once
- Professions and gathering — herb, ore, or fishing tasks are completed quickly at any level
- Seasonal content — tasks tied to the current The War Within season (M+, Delves, raids) are completed through normal play
Tips
Watch the Trading Post rotation — the lineup announcement is posted on the official Blizzard site and Wowhead at the start of each month. If the Reins of the Silver Riding Crane appears in the list, do not delay the purchase — the next rotation may return in several months or longer
Save up Tender in advance — the Tender cap on your account reaches several thousand. A stockpile lets you buy the mount on its very first day of availability without waiting for the next month
Use alts for progress — the Traveler's Log is shared account-wide, but some tasks require specific activities. If you have several characters of different classes and factions, you will close out all task types faster
Do not spend Tender on temporary rewards — transmog gear, pets, and toys often return to the rotation. Mounts are the rarest and slowest-recurring purchases, so start with them
Watch for a Pandaria Remix Encore event — Blizzard has stated several times that the Remix modes could be relaunched. If such an event runs, the mount will again be available from Hemet Nesingwary XVII for Bronze
The mount is account-wide once obtained — as soon as one character buys the mount, it appears in the mount collection of all your characters regardless of faction or class. This makes the purchase a worthwhile investment even for those who play only one character

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
