Sin'dorei Magister's Shard — Transmog Set Guide
Overview

Sin'dorei Magister's Shard is a two-handed staff styled after a sin'dorei battle-mage. Its head is built from floating crystalline shards wreathed in crimson and golden magic, echoing the aesthetic of Silvermoon and the blood elf magisters. It is a purely cosmetic item: its combat stats are nominal, and its value lies entirely in its appearance.
The staff belongs to the mage weapon set that arrived in World of Warcraft with the limited-time WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event (patch 10.2.7). In silhouette and palette it was designed as a match for the mage armor set of the same name, and it pairs well with Sunreaver and blood elf themes.
Source
The appearance is unlocked not by buying the staff itself, but through the cosmetic arsenal
Arsenal: Sin'dorei Magister's Enchantment — it adds all three mage weapon variants from this set to your collection at once.
- The arsenal is sold by Grandmaster Jakkus at the Infinite Bazaar in WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria.
- The arsenal costs 3000 bronze, the event's main currency.
- To purchase it you must complete the Isle of Thunder achievement on a timerunner character.
- Only a mage can use the arsenal and wear the mage appearance, but it can be unlocked into the collection once the required achievement is done.
The WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event was limited-time, so outside its active period the arsenal is unavailable from Grandmaster Jakkus. If the set was unlocked into your appearance collection earlier, it stays available forever.
Who it suits visually
- It harmonizes with the mage armor set from the same collection — the crimson-and-gold blood elf palette.
- It fits Silvermoon and Sunreaver styled looks thanks to the crystals and the scarlet glow.
- It contrasts strikingly with dark, obsidian sets, highlighting the bright head of the staff.
- It is fitting for a court magister or high elf battle-mage concept.
Tips
The appearance is available only to the mage class — on other classes the staff will not display in transmog.
Buy the arsenal rather than individual items: a single spend of 3000 bronze unlocks all three weapon variants at once.
Complete the Isle of Thunder achievement in advance on any timerunner character, otherwise you won't be able to buy the arsenal.
Bronze is convenient to stockpile along the way while completing the event's story and dungeons, without grinding for it separately.
If the WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event is inactive, wait for its return — it is the only source of the set.
Check your bronze before buying other sets too: the mage armor in the same style costs a separate 4000 bronze.

Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.
