Get Skyskin Hornstrider mount

Skyskin Hornstrider is an epic ground mount added in patch 10.0.0 of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a long-legged saurian that absorbed the energy of the primal storms within the time rifts. The mount is purchased from Brendormi in the The Primalist Future zone for 150 Essence of the Storm and 3,000 Elemental Energy.

The Skyskin Hornstrider has a distinctive blue scale coloration that sets it apart from other hornstriders of the Dragon Isles. The mount model is unique to the Storm's Fury event and is not available from any other source.

Unlocking access (once per account)

1. Head to Valdrakken, to the Seat of the Aspects
2. Find the NPC Zaqul at coordinates /way #2112 63.6 48.0
3. Pick up and complete the short quest chain "Storm Warning"
4. After completing the chain, the portal to the Primalist Future becomes available for all characters on the account

Quick access (after unlocking)

1. Make your way to the Timeless Crossroads in Thaldraszus — the southeastern part of the zone
2. Use the Portal to the Primalist Future at coordinates /way #2025 59.8 82.2
3. Inside the zone, find Brendormi at coordinates /way 61.2 47.0

1. Unlock access to the Primalist Future through the quest chain from Zaqul in Valdrakken (if you haven't already)
2. Head to the portal at the Timeless Crossroads in Thaldraszus (/way #2025 59.8 82.2)
3. Enter the Primalist Future zone
4. Participate in the Storm's Fury event to earn Essence of the Storm
5. In parallel, accumulate Elemental Energy — it drops from Primal Invasion mobs across the Dragon Isles
6. Once you have accumulated 150 Essence of the Storm and 3,000 Elemental Energy, find Brendormi (/way 61.2 47.0)
7. Buy the Skyskin Hornstrider and use the item to learn the mount

Essence of the Storm

The main currency, which can only be obtained from the Storm's Fury event.

Sources:

Event schedule: Storm's Fury is active for 2 hours, then there is a 3-hour break. The cycle repeats every 5 hours. When the event is active, a world quest marker appears on the map.

How many runs you will need:

In a single run you earn between 9 and 15 Essence of the Storm. With active farming (several runs per day) it will take roughly 2–3 weeks to reach 150 Essence.

Elemental Energy

This currency can be farmed not only in the Primalist Future, but also in the open world of the Dragon Isles.

Main sources:

• Primal Invasions — mobs in the elemental storm zones on the Dragon Isles grant Elemental Energy. In a group, farming yields about 2,000 per hour
• Rare mobs of the Forbidden Reach — each rare mob grants about 1,000 Elemental Energy, with a 500 bonus for the first kill of the day
• Storm's Fury event — the final boss grants about 130 Elemental Energy per kill

3,000 Elemental Energy is gathered through active farming in 2–3 hours on the Forbidden Reach or over several days at a normal pace of play.
