Snowfeather Hunter

Snowfeather Hunter is an epic ground mount from the falcosaur family, added in patch 7.0.3 of the Legion expansion. It is a predatory feathered creature able to hide in the mist and ambush its prey with a swift, claws-out lunge. The mount is the reward for the quest Snowfeather Reunion, which concludes a lengthy chain of daily quests tied to the battle pet Snowfeather Hatchling.

The Snowfeather Hunter is one of four falcosaur mounts added in Legion. The other three are Brilliant Direbeak (red), Viridian Sharptalon (green), and Predatory Bloodgazer (red). The Snowfeather Hunter has snow-white plumage with a bluish tint.

• Unique model — falcosaurs stand apart from standard riding animals. The Snowfeather Hunter stands out with its white plumage and predatory silhouette that draws the eye.
• Guaranteed acquisition — unlike mounts with a percentage drop chance, the Snowfeather Hunter is a quest-chain reward. You are certain to get the mount if you complete every step.
• Account-wide — once obtained, the mount becomes available on all of your characters.
• Bonus level-25 pet — over the course of the chain you will raise a full-fledged level-25 battle pet, useful for future pet battles.
• Affection animation — if you summon the mount at the same time as the Snowfeather Hatchling pet, a heart animation appears above the hatchling.

Obtaining the mount comes in three stages: find an orphaned hatchling, raise it through a chain of 15 daily quests, and complete the final quest "Snowfeather Reunion."

Stage 1: Getting the Snowfeather Hatchling Pet

1. Wait for the world quest Snowfeather Swarm! to become active on the northern coast of Highmountain
2. Kill the Snowfeather Matriarch around coordinates 35, 22
3. After the matriarch is killed, an Orphaned Snowfeather appears nearby at coordinates 32, 28
4. Buy Smoked Elderhorn from any food vendor in Dalaran (Broken Isles). Amisi Azuregaze in the Legerdemain Lounge will do, for example
5. Feed the orphaned hatchling — it will appear in your pet journal

Stage 2: The Daily Quest Chain

To receive the quests, you must summon the Snowfeather Hatchling as your companion. One quest is available each day. The full chain takes about two weeks.

Stage 3: The Final Quest

After completing all the previous quests, you will receive the quest Snowfeather Reunion. Head to Highmountain at coordinates 32, 28 — onto the plateau east of the Felblade demon camp. Summon the Snowfeather Hatchling, and the Wounded Snowfeather Matriarch will appear before you. Speak with her and heal her to complete the quest. As a reward you will receive the Snowfeather Hunter mount.

• The world quest "Snowfeather Swarm!" does not appear in the rotation every day. Keep an eye on active world quests in Highmountain or use the World Quest Tracker addon.
• Leveling the pet to level 25 — the fastest method is to use a Maximum Level Stone if you have one. If not, battle pets in Highmountain, Val'sharah, or other Broken Isles zones.
• PvP world quests (quest 8) can be completed in War Mode; you do not have to defeat other players, just complete the quest
• The dungeon Neltharion's Lair (quest 11) can be run on any difficulty. At your current character level you will clear it solo with ease. Don't forget to summon your pet before the fight with Naraxas.
• The raid Emerald Nightmare (quest 13) can also be run on any difficulty. At a high character level Ursoc dies in a few seconds. Summon your pet before the fight begins.
• Keep your pet summoned — most quests require the Snowfeather Hatchling to be your active companion. If you forget to summon it, progress will not count.
• One quest per day — the system does not allow you to complete more than one quest in the chain per day. Plan your time accordingly
• Multiple characters — each character can run its own quest chain independently, but the mount is account-bound, so completing the chain on one character is enough.
