Get Staff of the Redeemer

Staff of the Redeemer is a two-handed staff of rare quality, added to World of Warcraft with The Burning Crusade expansion. The model belongs to the draenei staff series: a bright head with a crystal and spiral patterns along the shaft, kept in cool white-and-blue tones. It is a classic "holy" staff with a light, almost healer-like silhouette — without aggressive spikes or dark elements.

The staff's stats are caster-oriented: intellect, stamina and versatility, so it was originally conceived as a healer's weapon. For transmogrification today the numbers don't matter — what counts is the recognizable draenei model, which fits the looks of priests, paladins and shamans of the Light well.

The staff is granted for the quest "The Cipher of Damnation" — the final task of the chain of the same name in the zone Shadowmoon Valley. This is the last step of the long story line of the draenei Oronok Torn-heart and his sons.

The order of obtaining it:

• Find Oronok Torn-heart on the Shattered Plain north of the Coilskar Cistern and complete his chain of three branches following his sons.
• Gather the three fragments and receive the Cipher of Damnation item, which completes the preparation.
• Use the Cipher of Damnation at the Altar of Damnation to summon Cyrukh the Firelord. The summoning spot is near coordinates 43.4, 46.4.
• Defeat Cyrukh the Firelord and speak with Earthmender Torlok right there, at the altar.
• When turning it in, choose the Staff of the Redeemer among the rewards. The Amulet of the Torn-Heart is also granted guaranteed.

The quest was designed as a group task for levels 25-30, but at the current maximum level of 90 the entire chain, including the boss Cyrukh, is completed solo without difficulty. The reward is granted once per character, so a single hero only has access to one item from the list — choosing the staff excludes the other options on that character.

• The light white-and-blue palette harmonizes with the looks of priests and paladins of the Light, especially in combination with silver-and-gold sets.
• The draenei silhouette looks good with the theme of the Lightborn and the Aldor from the era of The Burning Crusade.
• It suits healer shamans as a "peaceful", non-combat head — without spikes or skulls.
• It contrasts with dark Fel armor or necromancer sets — a debatable but expressive "light against darkness" approach.
