Get Starshard Edge

Starshard Edge is an epic one-handed dagger with a slender, curved blade and a cold blue-violet glow reminiscent of a shard of the night sky. The model belongs to the family of daggers from the Ulduar raid and first appeared in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

The game also features a same-named dagger from the original Ulduar — Starshard Edge. Both versions use an identical model and icon, so for a transmog collection it is enough to gather either one — the appearance unlocks in the shared wardrobe.

The dagger drops from the final boss of Ulduar's engineering wing — Mimiron. The raid itself sits in the Snowdrift Plains of the Storm Peaks (Northrend).

• Difficulty: 10 and 25 players, normal and heroic modes (for the original version of the dagger).
• The version belongs to the scalable item range and is used in the Timewalking environment and legacy scenarios.
• Group: the raid is cleared solo at the current level without trouble — Mimiron is killed within one or two phase cycles.
• Attempt limit: one attempt per character per week on each size and difficulty. To speed up the collection you can use additional characters.

For convenient farming it is recommended to enter the raid on a level 80+ character: all of Ulduar, including Mimiron, dies in one or two hits, and the loot is collected in ten to fifteen minutes.

• Caster classes — priests, warlocks, mages — for looks in the spirit of a "stargazer" or "astral spellcaster".
• Druids of the equinox guise and rogues in dark-blue gear: the cold sheen of the blade pairs well with silvery and violet armor shades.
• Builds themed around Ulduar and tiers 8–9: the dagger fits organically alongside shoulders and chestpieces from the same raid.
• A contrasting option — pairing with warm golden sets: the bright blue blade stands out against gilded plate and silk.
• Suits themed looks such as "shard of creation", "void wanderer", "star hunter".
