Get Stormpike Battle Ram mount
Overview

Stormpike Battle Ram is a ground mount available to Alliance characters through the "Korrak's Revenge" anniversary event. It is an updated version of the classic
Stormpike Battle Charger with an improved model and textures. The mount's description reads: "Bred in the Alterac Mountains by the Stormpike clan. Trained to butt orcs painfully." When you learn this mount, you automatically receive its Horde counterpart — the
Frostwolf Snarler.
Why get this mount
- An improved HD model of the legendary ram from classic Alterac Valley
- Learning it grants you two mounts at once — one for the Alliance and one for the Horde
- A unique appearance that stands out among standard dwarf rams
- Available to all characters on the account once obtained
- Requires no reputation or gold — only participation in the anniversary battleground
Requirements
- A character level 10 or higher
- Riding skill (Apprentice)
- Access to the World of Warcraft anniversary event, during which the "Korrak's Revenge" battleground runs
The "Korrak's Revenge" event returns annually during World of Warcraft anniversary celebrations. During the 20th anniversary, the event ran from October 22, 2024, to January 6, 2025. Keep an eye on the in-game calendar so you don't miss the next launch.
How to get the mount — step-by-step guide
The mount is awarded for completing the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement. To do this, you need to collect 200 Timewarped Badges by participating in the "Korrak's Revenge" battleground.
Step 1: Join the "Korrak's Revenge" event
When the anniversary event is active, open the PvP activity finder (the H key by default) and find the "Korrak's Revenge" battleground in the special events section. Queue up and wait for the battle to begin.
Step 2: Earn Timewarped Badges
During the battle in Alterac Valley, you earn Timewarped Badges for the following actions:
- Winning the match — the largest single source of badges
- Completing bonus objectives within the battleground (killing captains, gathering resources, capturing bases)
- Killing enemy players and NPC opponents
- Participating in capturing mines and towers
Everything you do on the battleground earns badges in one way or another. Usually a few matches are enough to gather 200 badges — the exact number depends on your activity and your team's results.
Step 3: Get the achievement and the mount
Once you have accumulated 200 Timewarped Badges, you will automatically receive the Alterac Valley of Olde achievement. After that, both mounts — the Stormpike Battle Ram and the
Frostwolf Snarler — will appear in your collection.
Tips for earning badges quickly
- Complete all bonus objectives within the battleground — they award a significant number of badges for minimal effort
- Try to stay with a group that actively captures objectives — this speeds up both the win and the badge gain
- Don't leave the match early — even in case of a loss you earn badges for participating
- Kill Korrak — this is a special NPC boss on the battleground that grants bonus badges when killed
- Usually 3–5 full matches with active participation are enough to obtain the mount
Important information
- The mount is available only during the anniversary event. If you missed the current period, wait for the next World of Warcraft anniversary.
- The achievement and badge progress are saved between sessions — you don't need to collect all 200 badges in a single match.
- Learning the mount on any character unlocks it for all characters on the account, including characters of the opposite faction.
- The mount first became available in patch 8.2.5 during the 15th anniversary of World of Warcraft in 2019.
- The original version of this mount is the
Stormpike Battle Charger, which can still be obtained by reaching Exalted with the Stormpike Guard in normal Alterac Valley.
