Started playing back in Pandaria, when the pandaren were still a novelty. Got stuck on Monk because it's the only class where you don't get dizzy after a dash. Tries to manage both tanking and kicking enemies in the face.

Sulfur Hound's Leash is a ground mount added to World of Warcraft in patch 10.1.5 "Fractures in Time" of the Dragonflight expansion. It is a sulfur-yellow variant of the core hound model from the Molten Core. In lore, the hound originates from the Azq'roth timeline — a reality in which the Old Gods defeated the Titans and enslaved all life. The mount remains a relevant collection goal in the Midnight patch.
The main way to obtain it is to purchase it from Provisioner Qorra at the Tyrhold Reservoir in Thaldraszus for 3,000 Paracausal Flakes. Alternatively, the mount can drop directly from the shattered reality chest or from Time Rift bosses.
The main path to the mount is weekly participation in the Time Rifts event and accumulating Paracausal Flakes up to 3,000.
This is the key part of the guide. To accumulate 3,000 Paracausal Flakes, you need to make balanced use of every currency source.
| Source | Reward | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Completing a Time Rift | about 350–500 flakes | every hour |
| Killing the final Rift boss | 150 flakes | per Rift |
| Completing tasks during a Rift | 30 flakes per task | over the course of the Rift |
| Killing a mob in the event | 2 flakes | per mob |
| Weekly quest from Soridormi | about 1,000–1,920 flakes | once a week |
| Daily quests from Chromie in the Bronze Dragonflight area | about 70 flakes per quest | daily |
| Paracausal Cluster from bags | 1,000 flakes | randomly on use |
With steady weekly quest completion and participation in at least a few Rifts per week, the target of 3,000 flakes accumulates in roughly one to two weeks of active play.
In addition to purchasing, the mount can drop randomly from several sources. This lets you save your currency and spend it on other mounts from the same rotation.
The Tyrhold Reservoir is home to eight Time Rift vendors, each responsible for their own alternate timeline. From each one you can buy a themed mount for 3,000 Paracausal Flakes. This is useful to know if you plan to collect several event mounts.
| Vendor | Timeline | Theme |
|---|---|---|
| Provisioner Qorra | Azq'roth | Old Gods, Sulfur Hound's Leash |
| Other vendors | Azmerloth, Ulderoth, Warlands, Azmourne, A.Z.E.R.O.T.H., Azewrath | Murlocs, wild beasts, faction war, the Scourge, mechanics, demons |
All eight vendors stand together in a small group — you can reach them in a single flight from Valdrakken.
For steady progress it is important to follow a weekly cycle of activities. The reset happens on Wednesday in Europe and Tuesday in North America.
If you farm Rifts on several characters, you can buy a Paracausal Pouch from Soridormi for 500 flakes. This pouch is transferable between account characters and returns 500 flakes when opened. This lets you speed up accumulation on your main character through active farming on alts.
Combine it with the Megadungeon — the Dawn of the Infinite: Shattered Path also rewards Paracausal Flakes for killing bosses. If you are already farming this megadungeon for other rewards, the currency will come in parallel
Don't buy the pouch at max flakes — the Paracausal Cluster gives 1,000 Paracausal Flakes on use, but if you are near the cap, part of the currency will be wasted. Use it when you have fewer than 19,000 flakes
Check the shattered reality chest first — if you got lucky and the mount dropped randomly, the flakes you saved can be spent on other mounts or pets from the rotation
The mount is account-bound — once obtained, it becomes available to all characters on your account. It makes sense to farm on your most efficient character
Watch for WoW Anniversary events — Blizzard sometimes adds temporary buffs to speed or to the amount of currency earned, which speeds up farming the mount
Your server doesn't matter — Time Rifts run on CRZ technology, so there are always enough other players in them for efficient farming
